Franz, are you back? Regardless of what some of these yahoos are saying, I'll immediately sign up again for an insider's membership if you are.

Setting the record clear -- writers have never had the ability to ban anyone. Only forum super mods and myself can. That hasn't changed and never will.

It could be financially sound for Walker to delay entry in the draft a year anyway. The 2014 draft is as deep as it has ever been (pre-draft anyway).

Financially and emotionally. Chris is a great kid who needs to feel part of family. He needs his teammates to embrace him as a brother and he needs to find some academic success which is possible with the help he can receive. He's a smart kid, just hasn't had the best advice when it comes to academics, nor has he had stability in his home life. My belief is that two or three years at Florida would be the best thing in the world to happen to him. There is unquestionable talent, but he could be the next Kwame Brown if he doesn't get the right guidance.

He is back to posting information on the Insider's board. I, and others, enjoy reading it. Those who don't are not obligated to do so.

I got the Pouncey's decommitment from FSU outside the Alamodome in January of 2006 and even though we had it on video so the evidence was indisputable, I was called every kind of idiot and liar in the book ... and not just by FSU fans.

I also got their commitment to UF and four of the other five Lakeland kids (Chris Rainey had long since committed). Got the Ahmad Black commitment from my hotel room in Las Vegas the same night I got the Adam Allen commitment.

I never said the Pounceys were the greatest tandem of linemen ever when they were recruited. Didn't say anything close to that, but you could make a case that they, along with Lomas Brown, are the best offensive linemen in the history of UF. FSU people will tell you today that losing the Pouncey twins was the single most devastating recruiting loss they suffered in 15 years and it would be hard to argue that it wasn't.

I may have written a lot of positive things about Mike and Maurkice, but I never once said they were the greatest linemen ever, particularly before they came to Florida. Heck one of the reasons that the Gators got them both was that Maurkice got wind of the fact that FSU thought he was a throw-in so they could get Mike. I think they both turned out pretty darn good.

Any one know exactly what Walker is waiting for at this point? Test score? Grade/s? Clearing House?

Based on the confidence in him being eligible for spring it seems to be related to one of the first two items.

You have to join. Click on the "Join Now" link at the top of the page and follow the instructions. If it hasn't changed you have your choice of paying by the month or yearly. Very reasonably priced too.
