Let them take us lightly
Let's just make it simple and run the table!!
It would be nice! Difficult however, but nice!
Of the following teams.....(LSU, Bama, UGA, USCe, Mizzou) we are the only team with a returning starting QB.
Jeff went 13-3 as a starter for us and that was with an inept offense.
Think of how our offense will look this year?
I'm licking my lips right now of this season's potential carnage against our opponents.
There is absolutely no reason we can't run the table!
Tennessee is going to be mediocre-to-bad this year. If we lose to them, we will have a really hard time going to a bowl. That said, I look for Jones to get it done up there. He just won't have much to work with until two more recruiting classes.
In what ways does UGA have a more balanced roster? What is currently wrong with UF's roster. I personally look at the roster and see the most talent and depth that Muschamp has ever had on offense. Yes the secondary is young but not untalented. I think on a talent level UF comparable or better than every other team in the SEC.
I'm not saying the OP is pumping sunshine. Not saying that at all. What I am saying is that I needed sunglasses to read their prediction.
"Should the stars align" is a best case outlook, but IMHO doable. It's easy to be a doubter and skeptic given 2013. But that page has been turned.
So far so good!
I like all of you predictions except for the L in Tusk town. I say if fortune is with us this year we will finally have something we've never had.... A Undefeated Season!
Both Bama and the Noles have shown issues that make them vulnerable.
Just happy with progress so far. We were so stagnant and boring on O the last few years. D kept us alive.
I'll take anything over the last O.
We are controlling the ball, moving the sticks and putting up points without turning the ball over.
We already lost Humphries for some undetermined amount of time.
And that is being a bit modest, Savage.
Heck we're in BEAST-MODE right now!
I'd love for this to happen but its hard to say fortune is smiling on us when we lose our TE Jake McGee for the year and a lineman for 2-3 weeks only after one game. Even if we go undefeated then we'd still have an asterisk next to the record for the no contest vs Idaho.
Wow Savage, you are certainly hoping for a highly fortuitous stellar alignment.
Of course, this thread exhibits a typical Western lack of understanding regarding the nature of Planetary movement and it's influence on the Earth, as well as the rather massive effects of circadian, diurnal, lunar, tidal and many other short-term cycles on everything.
This lack of knowledge/understanding is very common among Westerners, who, when you ask members of the Scientific Priesthood (I have been a member for over 35 years), almost know nothing about solar influences. On the other hand, when you ask any Chinese or Indian Scientist, they will almost always be thoroughly knowledgable, and will, wisely, utilize such things in their everyday life.
The thing is that over a 3 month season, all of the Solar planetary relationships will change rather substantially. The greatest changes will, of course occur among the closer sources - The Moon, Mars & Venus and Mercury. Neptune, Uranus, Jupiter and Saturn's influences will change little, but they will change relative to the closer influences.
Of course, the bio-cycles, which any intelligent individual pays close attention to, also change substantially, even from day to day, and these are at least somewhat influenced by at the very least, the Tidal Forces, which, of course vary daily and depending on when games are scheduled.
So, really, a better way to say it would be: "If the Goddess of Fortune (Fortuna) Smiles Upon the Gators, and forgets whatever made her mad last year, then the following may occur."
There are always injuries, no team comes through completely unscathed. It really boils down to whom and when and the match ups week to week as to the impact.
If we do go undefeated I don't think anyone, even Idaho fans, will question the veracity of the season based on a rain out of the Idaho game.
That makes two.
