Urban's defenses have been pretty bad in his 2 seasons at OSU. At Utah and BG his defenses weren't that good either. In 2010 (no Charlie Strong) his defense was not that good either.

The only defenses he has had that were good was when he had Charlie Strong, one of the best DCs in football, as his DC. I don't think he is a good defensive coach. He just had Charlie Strong make him look like one.

    ORRRRRRR...........................

He was so busy game prepping and coaching the game that he did not eat properly (nervous stomach, just not hungry, etc) and then he felt a little weak afterwards and smelled some pizza and that sounded good to him, so he sat for a minute and ate a slice or two while he wife and/or son sat with them supporting him.

I appreciate what UM did for us and won't belittle him over how things turned out. As I have posted before, I feel sorry for Shelly and the kids. Is he really a different person? I have to think that this year's ending will not sit well and next year the old UM will emerge. But if he turns out to be another Mack Brown (plenty of talent but not necessarily NCs) and he isn't bothered by that then good for him...AND Shelley and the kids.

So how many of you think he was reminiscing of his time at Florida and how good he had it here with as many 4 and 5 stars as OSU? I wouldn't want him back anyways. Thanks for the titles Urban, and he'll never get to the title game let alone win another one again.

Do you even read the tripe you post? I can guarantee posters like yourself would have found another way to try and bash him if he had publicly announced the suspension; like claiming he was trying to get media coverage, win a PR war or some other nonsense.

I'd think the guy gets so keyed up that he failed to eat much prior to the game & had to wolf down some food. That's no excuse for him, rather it shows that he still needs to balance things out.

A bit of hyperbole, no? In the BCS era, Ohio State made it to 3 National Championship games, went 1-2 in those games, and no program has more BCS bowl victories, with a chance to add to that again this year.

But, yeah, they coughed last night.

No. No. Look again. I was tagging the person who quoted and challenged you.

I see ApexNC tagged me as dumb; and I will take it as a compliment.

Some people have lost their minds. Urban Meyer lost 3 games his first season here, 1 game in 2006, 4 games in 2007, and 1 game in 2008. I don't think he has a problem with recovering from losses. He is just someone that goes into overdrive because he wants to have the best program every year.

You all are just making up stuff now. Get over it, he left Florida for Ohio State, get over it. You all are becoming worse than the LSU fans and their hate for Nick Saban. How is he an imposter when he has won at all 4 of his coaching stops? He won at Bowling Green, Utah, here at Florida, and now at Ohio State. I don't care how soft the Big 10 is, going 24-1 in 2 seasons is an amazing accomplishment anywhere.

Some of you seem to think this is sour grapes. Most of the college football world revels in the misery of Urban. For whatever reason he's just not a likable figure.

That makes no sense whatsoever. Who in here said Urban Meyer was good defensive coach? He is the head coach of the team and hires the OC to run the offense and a DC to run the defense like 90% of coaches do. I do agree that Urban might want to seek out another DC because Luke Fickell has been less than stellar during his 1st 2 seasons, but I can understand why he kept him.

We all know it should have been 0-3 in NCGs, but Miami is like the hated son of college football. The only good team OSU beat was in 2009 when they played Oregon. And you can't compare the quality of teams Big Ten has to SEC. When OSU plays only 8 conference games (no Conf. title) until last year, 4 of these set of 5 teams: NW, Purdue, Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota plus a Ohio school (all are basically cupcakes from OH) plus 1 or 2 other cupcakes. Thats 6-7 low tier teams and not even mid-levels like MSU, Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin that you get on the schedule too. So it is expected that you guy get to a BCS game, but not win against a solid team, basically. Was hoping to have you guys face Bama, but with geography a big factor with revenue, that wouldn't happen.

Hate to say it, but the most important thing in the life of any successful individual is themselves. You can't accomplish anything spectacular in life without sacrificing time spent on or with others or worrying about what others think. That's just the way it is.

You forget Dan Mullen got him those SEC/BCS wins (except Cincy an OH cupcake) and 2 titles. He was his QB coach at BG, Utah and OC at Florida. He's really not much of a coach, Meyer that is. Maybe Special teams. But what do you really teach in that team. Block kick or play safe? You tell me.
