Yes but he can choose to ignore those rules to make sure he has the best players on the field. He has integrity because he chooses to do the right thing. Do you think kids at other schools don't smoke weed? How often do you hear about other schools busting kids for weed?

Actually, many of us think that neither of them is "evil"

Weed suspensions are out of the coaches hands. It happens with UGA like every year

    From the linked article:

Hmmm. Now I'm confused. Only out for himself? Then why bench his starting lineman in the biggest game in two seasons when he didn't have to do so? Why no press conference to announce it?

It's fine to link articles to trash Meyer, but you might want to read them first. I pulled for the Spartans last night, too, but let the hate go, man. Life's too short.

    Go Gators!

Like I said earlier he might have just felt he needed to put his stamp on the team. We have all read and heard about how the team was out of control.

Well what do you expect, it was like the kid that is too sick to go to school but then his buddies want to go see a movie an hour later and now he's 100% healthy. I mean, come on. I'm glad the movie sucked.

You mean like cutting your starting middle LB suspension short to get him on the field against Miami?

Well he suspended him, then charges were dropped. So it was more understandable

Maybe to you it is. I think to an outside observer would look pretty much the same. Don't kid yourself, Muschamp isn't morally superior to Meyer or any other major program coach out there. You just like Muschamp better.

I think Spurrier has a little perspective on losing. Wasn't he the QB of the winless expansion Bucs?

Great post. For the life of me, I don't understand the fixation some people have on Coach Meyer. It's getting downright creepy.

I apologize. I did not know the guy was kicked off the team immediately.

It was so clearly, unmistakably, without hesitation, the right thing to do, that he should have announced the suspension right after the Michigan game.

It would have made both him, the team, and the program look a lot better, and he could have used it to send a positive signal to the world of college football. Just another opportunity lost.

Why not do it, immediately, the day after the game? It was to the point where almost the entire week had gone by before he did it. Don't mistake public and media disdain for integrity.

You missed the "...at least the good ones" at the end of AZ's comment.

I think it is cute how some posters found a way to get in a slam at Muschamp in a thread about Meyer's behavior.

I don['t care how you feel about Meyer, but it was a bit bizarre. Ignoring what is allegedly a long standing tradition at the school you love more than any other to stand with the band win or lose; then the picture on the golf cart while your wife and the cops stand around watching you? To paraphrase an old saying, "get a room Urb"; don't let it hang out in public. (I wonder if Shelly stood with the band?)

I know he is intense; I am sure that he was bitterly disappointed if he believed the hype about his team, but he is supposed to be a leader of men.

Dear Apex, I don't know if people are fixated on Urban or if they are fixatedAND hate him. I do neither or I would have signed up for these forums a long time ago. I just wish he would find it in his character to someday explain those 2 years. Idon't expect him to hoist himself on his own petard, just an explanation for what transpired and how he feels about it. The American people are the most forgiving people in the world, all they want is to hear some words of regret. That should not be that difficult. If you don't believe Urban has anything to be remorseful about pertaining to those two years, then you probably think I'm "fixated." The only way i can prove I'm not is to abstain from mentioning the man's name again. Feel free to call me out if I do.
