Republicans have lost three major fights since 2009. They seem likely soon to lose the forth and all the same way.
Here is the list of highly honed and well earned bad habits of a party that has lost its way to the far right.

    Habit 1: Maximalist goals.
    Habit 2: Apocalyptic visions.
    Habit 3: Irrational animus.
    Habit 4: Collapse of leadership.
    Habit 5: Self-reinforcing media.
    Habit 6: Politics as war.
    Habit 7: Despair
 But it's a good read.

Yeah, and they're the ones that originally started this mess by funding the Tea Party groups. Looks like the Citizens United ruling is biting the GOP in the arse. The chickens have come home to roost.

Yep, the lost the house (By votes and since it's supposed to be the true representative body and they only one it through gerrymandering, they actually really lost) the senate and the presidency and they still continue to throw a tantrum when they don't get their way.

It's pathetic really. Bunch of old men acting like toddlers.

    See No.'s 3 & 5 :)

Obama isn't trying to make people hurt. That's nonsense. He is holding steady against terribly delusional republicans in their extortion-like demands; there will be some fall out no matter what. But regardless, no one is really a winner in any of it given how dysfunctional it all is.
