LMSM has quit trying to pretend it's even remotely unbiased. Ever since I can remember, the media has had a leftist spin, but it isn't even hidden any more.

I like Sharapova even more -- hot and bold!

    It's what they do.

    To be fair,

Williams comments were stupid but not racial. O fcourse it's not pc for the media to be critical of blacks who say stupid things. That's not what they do.

Of course you don't. Racial comments and stupid comments are both stupid and should be treated as such. That is his point.

I'm curious why not making a big deal out of Williams' comment is a left thing.

So your saying it was a different liberal main stream media crucifying Roy Hibbert 2 weeks ago than the one ignoring the Serena non-story?

Sure it's the same media-but Roy made a remark about homosexuals, you think he would have been called to the carpet if he made a honky remark?

I think your splitting hairs trying to prove a black/white point that I think is inapplicable here.. I think what Serena was getting at (perhaps not so artfully) was that the best way to avoid Steubenville like things is to be aware and avoid the situation, and for parents to be engaged in helping their kids make that assessment. It's not like she made some ignorant comment like " the girl deserved it". If she had the media should and would rightfully crucify her regardless of her color.

Is most media biased? Sure, to some extent virtually every media outlet is.

Is THIS a case of media bias? No, I think it's largely a non event your trying to make into bias because she's black and you think the media gave her a pass. Methinks this particular case is nothing ado about nothing.

"16 year old girls should be alone and drunk with a bunch of strange boys"

    "Those guys are n------rs"

You think these two comments should be treated the same?

Yeah, I'm not sure how you can make a comparison here ... people say stupid things every day. The racist, incendiary ones are those more likely to draw publicity.

And it looks like the "LMSM" is "ignoring" this as much as FOX News:

16 year old girls shouldn't be getting drunk, so Serena was correct.

    But they do.

How many of you read a lot of left leaning media? Maybe it's not that the coverage is less, just may be perceived that way. Through your lack of exposure. I read huff post every day and they've been all over this story. I couldn't tell you on the other hand how fox or your righter leaning press is covering it because I don't routinely peruse their pages.

What the heck did Williams mean using the term 'black heart' when talking about Sharipova's boyfriend?
