    A couple ideas that MAY work:

    1. FCS coaches, maybe retired one who can watch the games. They understand the sport. They have less dogs in the hunt perhaps.

    2. NFL Scouts. They are objective by nature and know the game.

    3. Former refs...for the most part they are used to putting loyalties aside....(some ACC guys notwithstanding)

    4. A combination of the three

    I am on my phone, so it might be tough to find it, but I do remember an interview with him in which he stated he turned down an offer to be on the committee. If I remember correctly, I think it was on Gatorzone.

    Foley was never offered. He just stated in the WSJ that he would not be interested IF offered.

    How is someone who doesn't have a job related to football on the panel? Why not put a 98 year old kinder garden teacher on the panel while we are at it?
