    The good news about Kentucky is that they have the worst pitching in the league. The bad news is, they have the best hitting in the league. I bet we have a few pitchers on our team that would like another shot at Kentucky.
    Here's how our pitching fared against UK earlier this year:

    Logan Shore: 7 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 3 K, 3 BB (0.00 ERA, 0.86 WHIP)

    Everybody else: 18 IP, 36 R, 33 ER, 47 H, 10 K, 8 BB (16.5 ERA, 3.06 WHIP)

    I'm hoping we don't throw Logan Shore against Kentucky.

    It seems we are locked into a National seed but otherwise seems like this tournament is more interesting than in years pass because there are potentially National Seeds and regional hosts undetermined. Who do you think has something on the line next week?

    Do you think South Carolina and Vandy are still playing for the final National seed?

    Also seems LSU and a couple other teams' chances of being a regional host hinge on the outcome.

    Would like to get a couple more wins to pad the overall record, and because winning is better than losing, but if we were to go 0-2 here all it would really mean is that our overtaxed pitching staff would get more rest.

    They burned their best starter today, A.J. Reed, and another starter in relief. Reed is by far their best pitcher, now 11-2 on the season. He came into the game with a 2.11 ERA. If Shore pitches well, we should have an excellent chance to win tomorrow.

    Sure wish some reporter was smart enough to ask about the status of Aaron Rhodes for the SEC Tourney, but that's probably to much to ask of the lazy Gainesville Sun crew or the programmed robots at Gatorzone.

    Since our game is on CSS, it's only available for people who have Charter or Comcast cable providers. You have to watch it on ESPN3 or other streaming sites.

    Bobby Poyner may be the starting pitcher against UK. Sully hasn't announced his starter, but I think he intends to hold Logan Shore for the weekend presuming we get there as he mentioned Poyner maybe starting in a interview. I hope our pitching staff wants some revenge after the way the wildcats embarrassed them in Lexington.

    7-2 Gators and headed to bottom of the 9th. Good guys with 12 hits today, including a HR by Tobias and 3 by Turgeon. South Carolina held to 4 hits so far.

    the way I am reading this, we again play Friday against the loser of Kentucky and Mississippi State.

    The good news is that the loser of that game will be on their 4th starter Friday.
