ATM should play Texas every year. There is no reason they cannot do it. At least one of the parties just refuses to do it.

The SEC imo just kicked the can down the road. I'm sorry but again imo only Al-TN and AU-GA have much historical significance while FL-LSU has some but to a lesser degree. The rest of the match-ups have little value as "rivalry game" and simply were put together as part of the "package"

When we made the switch over to the SEC they thought they would try and punish us and not play us. We said anytime, anywhere and they came back with they had a full non-conference schedule and couldn't do it for the next 10 years. Playing national powerhouses like Wyoming, New Mexico State, scheduling those tough contests against Middle Tennessee State... who do you think would pull a better crowd?
They were butthurt that we left and refused. At this point I could care less if we ever play them again. There is really no upside to it for us to be honest. We are already spanking them on recruiting and even taking some of their commits as well. Our brand is passing them lately as well. A huge part of this is due to the move to the SEC (thanks for having us by the way)
We have moved on from their shadow and it feels great. The only thing that kills me is that they took the last game we played (biggest screw job ever by the refs). If we play them again it should be in a bowl game andI hope we curb stomp their asses. I will always have a burning HATE for them and will pull for ANY team that plays against them in anything. If they were playing the Taliban I would be the first one yelling "Gimmie a T, Gimmie an A, Gimmie an L, Gimmie an I, Gimmie a B, Gimmie an A, Gimmie an N!!!! GOOOOOOOO Taliban!!!!

This is all about Bama getting its way with the UT rivalry. Bama rules the SEC. Fortunately it is not to the same degree as Texas in their league. But, it has always been a problem.

LSU is the LAST school who should be complaining, because they're the one SEC team who ALWAYS plays 7 (sometimes 8) home games each year and rarely ever plays a road OOC game. They play Wisconsin in a neutral site this year and played TCU at neutral site in 2013. 8 home games in 2012, Oregon at neutral site and WVU on the road in 2011 (that was respectable). UNC in neutral site in 2010. UW on the road in 2009, 8 home games in 2008 and 2006. Tulane in 2007 in Superdome (if you want to count that as a road game) and ASU in 2005 on road.

That's only road 3 OOC games and 3 seasons playing 8 home games since 2004.

I'm sorry, but you are incorrect. The biggest screw job ever by referees occurred on 11/29/03. That being said, I really wish UT and TAMU would figure it out. That's too good of a game to go away forever.

That one was pretty bad. Refs had to leave with escorts if I remember. And why do we need to figure anything out with Tennessee? ;)
Honestly could care less if we ever play to again... They made their bed so they can lay in it.

By coincidence there is a thread in the pub called "Most controversial Gator loss you ever saw."
I posted the national writers reaction after the Swindle.
    If you are interested, Aggie.
