    http://www.secdigitalnetwork.com/NE...ces-format-for-future-football-schedules.aspx

The Southeastern Conference on Sunday announced the format for future football scheduling that is a continuation of the existing format and adds a strength-of-schedule component that requires all schools to play an ACC, Big 12, Big Ten or Pac-12 opponent on an annual basis. The announcement comes after a vote of the league's institutions.

Each SEC team will continue to play eight conference football games per season, to include six games against division opponents and two games against non-division opponents. One of the non-division opponents will be a permanent annual opponent and the other non-division opponent will rotate each year.

In addition, at least one opponent from the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten or Pac-12 must be scheduled by each SEC school on an annual basis beginning in 2016, with assistance from the conference office.

Miss. State, Texas A&M, Ole Miss & Vandy are only four schools in SEC not playing a Big 12, ACC, PAC 12 or Big Ten school in 2014.

If this s the case, the days of anyone going undefeated are over...it will be more like nfl standings.

    You're not reading correctly.

You have to play at least one non-conference opponent from a major conference each year. We already do.

True, I would like it, if we all played an equal schedule, of course that won't happen so no thx, I think this is a step in the right direction, of course it can't get harder than fsu annually so we will always have to bring it.

Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina are all already covered. I suppose UK is too if they continue with Louisville every year.

Overall a good thing for UF. LSU still being our yearly cross-divisional opponent is disappointing but workable.

UK-Louisville was moved to Thanksgiving weekend was to keep having an even number of ACC-SEC games that weekend. It was the same reason Vandy and Wake Forest became "rivals" out of the blue.

LSU AD is not happy. He says the Tigers have played UF and UGA twice as many times as Bama has since 2000.

Just makes the league do what UF has been doing already.
F$u counts as our acc opponent. Hopefully Bama lines up a quality foe from one of the other conferences on a consistent basis (not an Illinois).
