Is there any Comcast area that will have it in HD? Our newspaper this morning gave us (Naples) the SD channel and indicated no HD "yet". To Comcast, I have found that "yet" could be hours or years.

It will show, the guide doesn't show future channels until they actually land, that's whats happened in the past.

One thing I haven't been able to figure out is how out-of-country fans can watch games on the SEC Network. Will they play games on their website, too? Will that content be available in Canada?

If anyone has info on this, or a link, please reply. Thanks.

Brighthouse has it up and running (1150) They keep rotating a catchy jingle and showing the school logos and the SEC network logo.

6-9 pm SEC Now. Host Dari Nowkah and network analysts discuss all the SEC news of the day.....

Thanks Krono. I was hoping it would pop up so I can DVR the initial program. Will have to monitor the guide or be here to press record. Or wait . . . I have the Directv app on my phone. If I can just get the Bat detector to remember my password!

Nothing yet on Dish 404 or 408, you would think they'd throw up a logo page or something

On my time warner, they have the screensavers running on both SECN channels. Looks like the "alternate" one is in SD though! HATE TIMEWARNER ! Let's hope the 9/6 Gator game is not on the alternate station.

BTW, my timewarner no longer has separate channels for SD and HD, so that's not it.

They're the same channel - one simply broadcasts in high def.

RattlerGator, as I said "my timewarner no longer has separate channels for SD and HD, so that's not it". They have different guide data for each of these channels as well.

If you look at 9/6 SECN schedule:

    Saturday, Sept. 6

Florida Atlantic at Alabama, Noon ET
Arkansas State at Tennessee, Noon ET
Eastern Michigan at Florida, 4 pm ET
Nicholls State at Arkansas, 4pm ET
Sam Houston State at LSU, 7:30pm ET
Lamar at Texas A&M, 7:30pm ET

You see they have two games going at same time all day. That is where the alternate channel comes in. This is backed up by your own link you posted to start the thread! I had thought these would be regional games, but I no longer believe that to be true.

If I'm understanding this correctly, that alternate channel isn't something that is listed and presented on a second channel on satellite or cable -- it's on another platform -- an online platform -- like ESPN3 and their WatchESPN app, etc.

I could certainly be wrong, however.

Yeah, looks like I'm wrong vis-a-vis Satellite. Given that I've never used a satellite system, not surprising ;-)

So, the ESPN3 stuff gets shown on an alternate channel on satellite? Is that the way it works?

I think SECN+ is the internet only stuff. The TV stuff is SECN and SECN-A, as far as I can tell right now. SECN-A I think will only be "on" when they have overlapping sports airing. We will find out for sure on 9/6.

I can confirm the 2nd channel still has screensaver, while the other channel is airing SEC NOW. So, they are different. Damn Time Warner. No HD for the alternate channel!
