The perfect storm. Pam Ward doing a game on the blue field of Boise.
Can't listen, can't watch.
one of the funniest things i've read here lol
i believe if they had pollack with palmer as co-analysts that it would be a home run..those two work real well off each other.
good grief, really this is the best that they could come up with. Mushmouth and Motormouth, that makes the anticipation of the network starting non existent.
Worst case scenario. Brent is the worst. I wonder what witty nickname he'll come up with for Jesse.
I rarely listen to TV announcers.
Probably owns stock...
Less excited about this network every day.
Cant imagine a worse pairing. I'd rather listen to Ward. Hate to think of what the mindless chatter between these two will be about...maybe they can cover old bachelor episodes.
Guess it's primetime or its the mute button.
Jesse is solid. And Brent isn't as bad as everyone makes him out to be, IMO. He's no Keith Jackson, but he's alright. Seriously, it seems like gator fans don't like any commentators. Other then Danielson, who do we like?
sorry but while there is truth to what you said brent IS that bad. over the top, stupid made up phrases and cliches and just tries too hard. jesse talks too mucg but as you said, he is solid
i enjoy most anyone save for a few like pam and the fox crew when they do college football
Jesse is just as bad. Jesse loves Jesse and never stops talking about stuff we already know or just watched ourselves. It's like listening to John Madden, but he talks way faster. Have to listen to the games on mute when he's on and that sucks bc I've got a kick a$$ 7.1 surround sound system....I think Pollack is way better than Jesse, he gets it. Bad hires by SEC Network
Pollack is solid as well. Jesse is no where near as bad as you're saying. Hell, if Pollack is better, why didn't they pick him? Both SEC guys, both smart and both good on tv. Mute, really? Come on.... Mute is reserved for people like Steven A. Smith, Doug flute, Desmond Howard and the best of them all, Andre Ware.
Steven a smith...I would LOVE to judo-chop that guy in the voice box!
This is a demotion for Brent if it means he's not going to be doing the big Saturday night game on broadcast TV. The SEC Network is not gong to be on all cable systems. They will primarily be in the southeast which are the small market systems. His approval ratings have to be going down. He will not play very well in the football savvy southeast and it is infuriating they stuck him here. SEC fans don't need to be artificially excited about a game by some schmuck announcer and in fact resent that approach.
It is almost as if no one wanted the gig so these two got it by default. How can an executive be so out of touch to think college football fans want to listen to Mussberger? And Jesse sounds too damn serious all the time. Lighten up Francis.
Jesse never stops talking, to the point where he starts rambling on about some stupid crap. During the a Miss St game, he said multiple times that Prescott is a better runner than Tebow. He tries to hard to not appear as a Florida homer that he often says ridiculous stuff about the Gators.
Musburger is just dumb. Worst call in history was 2010 NC game with Auburn about to kick a FG to beat Oregon. He says "And this one is for all the Tostitos..."
What an awful pairing.
So now we have the SEC hater Big 10 slobberworshipper in Mustyburger and the "I am not an SEC homer at any cost" Jesse Bachelor Palmer doing SEC games. Brilliant.
I was really hoping they'd get Reece Davis.
