We were concerned that the SEC would beat each other out of a chance at the NC. Well this year it seems to be very close to doing that except for Mizzo and Bama. Maybe this 4 team playoff with emphasis on conference winners being selected is arriving just in time.

The SEC should not have expanded.

As long as bama keeps winning, no harm done

We were also concerned about the SECCG preventing SEC schools from playing for a national title 23 years ago.

It worked out okay for UF and the conference.

I'm going to say it and take the heat.

I'm sick of Bama winning it every year. If we could spread it around a bit more - like we used to - I'd pull for the SEC in the NC no matter what, but now...

I think we are at a structural disadvantage in the SEC.

I would also like to spread it around, but I'd rather Bama win than f$u or o$u or even oregon

We can dominate the SEC as well. We did on 06 and 08.

We just need coaches that are of the same caliber as Saban. Right now, we don't have them.

Yeah I am pulling for Bama now, Missouri will not win a BCS, or at least I do not see them doing this season, so I will pull for Bama.

I might could get into a Baylor pulling it off, but that will not happen this season unless some teams start folding their tents and losing.

There are ten quality teams in the SEC. That's real football. I wouldn't change it for the world. Let the FSUs of the world trade their regular seasons for shots at MNCs, give me a war every weekend. And let the chips fall where they may.

    Agree.

Except for Oregon. They've been close a lot and I wouldn't cry if they beat Bama.

And, maybe in some weird way, that would wake up JF and company about offense.

Those might be some unattractive chips.

I am of the mindset of we start the season playing for the NC, why make our road harder than any other teams chances. I don't need to be entertained (i.e. a war every weekend) as I have other things going on in my life to entertain me. I want NC's. I respect that you feel that way, but can't understand why you would want to be entertained over a NC. With NC's come more dollars to the university, a higher valued degree due to national exposer ( I don't know if you got your degree from UF), better fascilities, better coaches, better players, more victories and bragging rights over F$u and UM. I can't understand why in the world you would rather be entertained and let F$u have the NC's. To me fans want their team to get NC's not just play a hard team every weekend so they can be entertained for 3 hours. I would say a casual viewers want to be entertained.

    That makes no sense.

Other than 1997 I can't think of a year when UF was a legit national title contender, and LSU knocked us out of the national title picture.

Uhhhh, the ACC did a good job of killing UGA and UF by beating them too.

The SEC is very down this year. That's the only thing wrong with this year.
