When your offense sucks you lose games. Occasionally your D bails you out, but over the long run bad offense equals bad results. This is to be totally expected.

We need a change. Either Will adapts or he goes

Doesn't matter if we all saw the game, he's pretty much stating what is true. Our D bailed us out, and we got lucky to a certain extent, last year. Dont expect it to happen every year. Our D was amazing once again, our offense was our undoing...once again.

It's the combination of shortening the game with "ball control" and bad offense that makes you susceptible to losing to any team if you make mistakes. Granted it gives you a chance in any game as well, but your defense needs to be bad ass, which we were fortunate they were last year.

Turnovers happen. You have to overcome them. Muschamp's philosophy is not sustainable.

Everyone saying "defense wins championships" are forgetting the first part of that saying, that offense wins games. You need an offense first, then after you get one of those, a defense will win you a championship.

Spot on. What can you say? We haven't had an offense for three years and counting. I love my Gators and don't want to diatribe and beat them up here ... we're all smarting after that one. But it's not just fans being "bad fans" right now to acknowledge our lack of offense has become exhausting to watch year after year. I didn't mind year one (we all have rebuilding years we have to suffer through from time to time except bama) and year two I chalked up to Brantley just not panning out and sometimes they don't. But at this point it's a concern and it's just exhausting to watch. There should have never, ever have been another repeat of that Georgia game from last year ... certainly not in the same calendar year. There's something broke about what Pease and Champ are doing. Hopefully they make the necessary changes and fix it.

Are you implying that chanting 11-2 forty five times in a row might not actually be an argument?

I finally made an account to say,

Jeff Driskel is not a good QB.

Our offense did enough to win the game up until the red zone. Period. We left 12 points on the field.

Turnovers happen? lol... wow. Yea turnovers happen and the other team wins, it's called playing smart and making the right decisions. I cannot for the life of me understand why Driskel couldn't finish in the red zone, he seems like he's always nervous.

If you want your offensive MO to be ball control, shorten the game and score just enough to win then you better have a QB capable of doing that. Driskel couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat so asking him to hit 3 yard timing patterns in the redzone on 3rd and 3 is ludicrous.

All of that and we still have the ball with 5 minutes left at our own 10 needing only a TD to win but we still dont try to throw the ball down field until its 3rd and long and guess what.......a sack and a fumble.......who would have thunk it. Maybe we try to pass on first down instead of run it.....MAYBE?????????

This isn't true. He got us to the end zone, we just fell apart when we got there.

If we just run the ball and kick the field goal every possession in the red zone we win 28-21. Think about that.

    A whole 12 points.... Whew.

Without the garbage time TD and great D, the extra 12 points makes us USF.

Well, since my thread was unscrupulously deleted, I'll say what I meant to say there.

I am not happy we lost, I am upset that at a school that is supposed to compete for SEC titles so many are content with blind optimism and staying the course. I thought Zook would've been enough to stop that, but maybe short memories will be helped by this game.

I don't like negativity, but do not have a problem with objectivity. Simply put, we have the talent to have a good offense, a defense that could win with an average offense, but are fielding a bad offense that just cost us the game. That is frustrating.

Last year, we didn't have receivers and it was Jeff's first year, so I didn't mind the conservative play-calling. This year, we have seen poor play-calling and poor execution.

    In Christ forever,
    Mike

Why does it have to be that way?? Why can't you have a great defense AND a high powered offense? Guess what happens when you don't score many points.......you bleeping lose!

Muschamp is WAY too involved in the offense. Just watch him when UF has the ball, he has a play sheet covering his mouth and he's talking into his headset all the time. Why???

Um, you know you can score points from the red zone without the offense, right?
