I have preordered it to see what I think-if I like it then I will give it to my Grandson to read

my wife, Kathryn, in conjunction with Vince's entreaties to me, came up with an idea that literally lit a fire under me.

    From rushlimbaugh.com

She(Rush's wife) said, "You know, you're always talking about how history is being mistaught. You're right. You're always talking about what kids are learning these days, and they're not learning about the greatness of America. They're not learning about the founding days. They're not learning the right things about the people, the great people, the exceptional people who founded this country." And she said, "Why don't you write a book for kids? A series of books for kids, maybe -- see how the first one goes -- that sets the record straight on American history."

And so that is what has happened. And what we have done, we have brought to life Rush Revere, our character at Two If By Tea. And we have today the ability to announce to you a book that is aimed for everybody, but it's for kids, to learn the truth about the very early and beginning days of this country, but it is a book for everybody to buy. Everybody has kids in school, and they're worried sick about what they're learning. And some of you don't know what to do, how to counter what your kids are being taught, and so Rush Revere to the rescue here.

    cont-

The book is a way, folks, of teaching what isn't being taught. People ask me all the time what they can do beyond voting to effect change in the country. And I ask myself that, too, what can I do besides the radio show? And when Kathryn had this idea, I mean, for 20 years people have been urging me to write a book. "Nah, I don't want to." And Vince, "You know, put together a compilation of your monologues." "Nah, I don't really want to." When she mentioned this to me, that lit the fire. That was something I hadn't done. That was an area that I hadn't targeted. I talk about it all the time. I lament what's going on in schools all the time. But this is my way of doing more than what I'm doing now. It is a way of teaching what isn't being taught. This isn't being taught.

We live in an amazing free country, founded by people with unwavering spirit and determination to triumph, regardless of the hardships and obstacles they faced. And they faced hardships and obstacles that we don't even know. Yes, it's Kindle. It's an e-book. It's Kindle. It's iBooks, it's hardcover, it's audio books. It's available for pre-order today. It actually comes out on October 29th.

Rush is not a lib so it will be 100% accurate

especially since he knows every lib organization out there(including the eternal obama apologist) will try to find any nuance of a misstep

right, especially the part where the hero is named Rush and is also the mascot for a bunch of stuff he sells. apparently the guy magically travels back in time. so you know it's 100% accurate.

You can bet the first thing he would find would most assuredly involve semantics.

"That not what Rush was really trying to say".....

admirable offer, Bill. but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. and i'm sure you can find a better cause for that money.

why does he need to tie to himself and his tea business?

Since opening, Two If By Tea® has donated over $1 million to the Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation and other worthy causes.

why not use his character from the tea business

and my offer stands river-you afraid you might learn something about our history

It's not that you don't know anything about it, it's just that you definitely don't know as much as someone really smart, like say a college-dropout disc jockey.

I wouldn't be surprised if the book is quite factual. Facts aren't the problem when writing about history, point-of-view and perception are. Given his radio broadcasts, I'm betting a certain narrative will be evident, and it won't fit in the "fair and balanced," category. He will probably be guilty of what he accuses other textbook writers of, namely bias.

Facts are definitely issues in the liberally written history books.

Maybe dyno, but I doubt it- he knows how the lib media will try and denigrate his book

Ben- my Father in law has a high school diploma and is a highly successful and wealthy businessman- and while I have a degree in broadcasting- I owned numerous successful restaurants and an ultrasound business - so having a degree does not guarantee knowledge

I think Rush has proven he is an intelligent and successful businessman

Twas a joke, the broader point being that there is exactly nothing about Rush suggesting that he is any more qualified to write a history book than river, or you, or I would be.
