Worth noting here that some editorializing was done by the OP - ESPN did not "report" that Tim wasn't making the roster.

Exactly! Dude wanted some attention drawn to read his chit so what's the biggest thing outside of Ahern that will get a reader's attention now?

There is no sound logic or common sense behind that article what so ever. He might as well of said that the Patriots are going to cut the kicker because of AH. Maybe they are also going to cut the towel boy as well because of the AH situation.

I disagree, honestly. I don't give it much credence but I think the logic is in order.

Nobody knows what BB is going to do. He may cut him tomorrow. He may start him at DE. Who the hell knows.

"Tom Brady is being moved to TE, Tebow to RB and the patriots are going to trade for Mark Sanchez to be the starting QB."

That statement has as much as factual basis as the article you posted. Don't post stupid shit.

This is BS. In fact, the opposite is probably true...I just read somewhere that Timmy has already been named the starting QB!

Yes it is... same as a rumor, coming from a talking head that has no say so in Tim's future.

Let me get this right. One player with a DUI and another one arrested for murder and the Pats are may cut TT? Makes no sense to me. For one, I feel like TT could offer a lot to the Pats. Even if he did not play, he brings a a great work ethic along with a positive attitude. I also believe the Pats can use him in a lot of short down situations and the red zone.

Great points... Belicek values leadership and versatility, and TT brings both.

Funny how Mallett, with no NFL accomplishmetns at all, is more promising than a guy who took over a 1-4 team led them to the playoffs and won his first round game?!

That is just ESPN's way of taking another slap at Tim because he an overt Christian.

Television is called a medium, because it is neither rare, nor well-done!

ESPN is all about attention. Put Tebow in a story and they get attention. ESPN mission accomplished.

IF the Patriot's owner wants to prop up New England's image post Hernandez then who better to do that with than nationally respected Tim Tebow. Ironically Hernandez may have helped Tim Tebow!

You bring up a good point. Why might the TE situation threaten depth at other positions, esp. positions that run deeper than TE (i.e. WR)? The reason likely involves the constant quest for headlines.

Yes. And Tom Brady has moved to TE.

I think the reasoning has been explained a couple of times in this thread, but we as Gator fans are too sensitive to even accept the viability of the theory (even if we don't necessarily believe the conclusion to be true).

But I really think Tim should try out for the TE position if they don't think he's going to get any PT at QB. I want to see him have a stable, consistent career in the NFL.
