Having an affair, even if it is a one night stand, with a student trainer does not make him a predator. Frankly, I don't care who he sleeps with or how many a night. But, I know how a lot of people feel about these type situations and wondered if they would overlook it if he is hired.

Gray, I think Muschamp has about a 25% chance of surviving next season and that's being generous. If what you're saying transpires, he'll be done by the time we play the Poodles.

I don't know enough about these individual coaches to have a valid opinion of them, so I'm just waiting it out. Regardless, it obvious now that Muschamp starts the 2014 season as the UF HC.

If Major is the best we can come up with... we are freaking completely hosed. Foley goes on these rising star duds on occasion and tries to save money. I wonder how much the athletic department has lost with Muschamp at the helm? We should get the 'best' guy in the business. Wouldn't oregon, texas tech, Auburn be better OC guys to steal? Who calls the plays at Baylor?

Applewhite is making in the $575.000 a year range at Tejas. That's not cheap.

Auburn has co offensive coordinators, Rhett Lashlee and Dameyune Craig. Gus calls the plays so.........

Texas Tech OC is the head coach, KK. He has Sunny Cumbie and Eric Morris as co oc's. KK calls the plays.

Baylor OC is Phillip Montgomery. He is the guy we should get, but, he's been with Briles his whole career.

Oregon OC is Scott Frost. He's in his first year as an OC and will get a look from Nebraska where he played.

Neal Brown who is now at Kentucky would also be a good get. He's a damn good OC and was at Texas Tech before this year. He will get a head coaching gig soon.

Petrino fraudulently hired his mistress and she was paid with public funds for a job she was unqualified (or at the very least underqualified) for. (ethical employment related issues)
Applewhite had an affair with a student trainer who was already with the team and he was not her direct supervisor. (moral issues, nothing job related)

In addition to the affair and fraudulent hire, he then lied about it to his AD/President/School (and the cops?). Was he DUI as well? Lets also not forget he quit on the falcons with 3 games remaining by leaving a note in the players lockers. Plus the whole secret Auburn interview while Tuberville was going undefeated (although that's more on auburn). The guy has no moral character whatsoever and isn't nearly as good of a coach as some people like to think. Not saying Major Applewhite is the way to go, but let's just stop it with the petrino nonsense.

The Clay Helton buzz is real. I don't know why he would leave USCw right now, he appears to be well liked and likely to be retained.

There's a chance they retain Applewhite as OC. Jimbo coming would definitely be the end of Applewhite.

Muschamp has shown to be hands off from the offense, so this may could work as there seems to be mutual respect there.

Arkansas sure taught Petrino a lesson. They were on the cusp of being very good, but them sinners gotta go. So now they wish they had our year...

Arkansas wouldn't let their players be Playboy All America's as they, Bill Clinton, don't do that sort of thing in them parts.

He's a top 5 coach IMO. His results speak for themselves. BTW, he has WKU to 8 wins this year. First time ever for the program that just transitioned to FBS a couple years ago.

Weis left because Muschamp micro-managed him, and Pease was a guy who liked to throw downfield a lot too, especially to the TE's, but we saw what kind of plays he called. What makes anyone think Muschamp is going to change any of that? This is a trend with this man. He is incapable of thinking any way is better than his own. Muschamp isn't going to throw downfield unless he's down a couple of scores late in the game.

Jimbo isn't going anywhere for the same reasons Bowden never left. He knows he's got a great deal at FSU, one he couldn't get anywhere else - the strongest program in a weak conference, a consistently weak schedule, almost guaranteed to never lose more than 10 or so games a season, and plenty of money.

Myth or reality? Other posters are claiming Weis was handed the keys to the offense and that worked out so badly that he clamped down on Pease. Pease claims on interview mid season that Muschamp allows him control of the O. Guess we'll never know till one of them writes a biography and even then we won't know if it was the truth or not.
Weis has hardly got a good college track record despite the superbowl rings. Hasn't he gone 3-9 this season and 4-20 overall ? Hardly brilliant.

Not with the new playoff system coming up. That weak schedule won’t help them like it has this year.
