I would still support UF. I would still attend games I could make. But seeing Kiffin on the UF sideline would be akin to watching a relative get REALLY drunk at a party and make a complete ass out of themselves. facepalm.jpg

Obviously I would still support UF but I would add a legal type disclaimer to all my signature blocks: the above signed was in no way involved in the hiring of Lane Kiffin

I thought Kiffin was a good choice, except I didn't think he would stick around.
But he isn't coming anyway, he has other opportunities and may end up on TV.
I still have reason to believe it is going to be Applewhite, although Helton, if avaialble, is a great choice.

TCU, Baylor, Texas Tech, Houston, and SMU .

Texas mostly gets pick of the litter, but they do have a fair amount of in state competition (remember the old SWC--all Texas schools, plus OU, OSU and Arky).

I'm sticking to this one for now.
I have heard nothing to change it.

Actually seems like it may be more likely with the Mack Brown news, although I'm not sure why Jimbo would sign an extension then turn around and take the UT job.

I still haven't heard anything from Texas boosters that I know to make me think they are even really considering Jimbo.

I have heard FSU fans worrying that Bama would take Jimbo in the event Texas got Saban, however.

    It isn't signed.
It is an agreement in principle, aka, negotiating leverage.

I don’t think he’s “signed” an extension but has agreed to one.

Bama would go with Smart IMO. He did turn down HC jobs last year if my mind serves me right. I’d hate to see Fisher at Bama tho, but we only play them so often compared to every year. Not sure how much I’d hate that.

The coaching staff at Texas has wasted more talent than Hugh Hefner. Getting two of those guys isn't exactly what I hoped for.

"There’s little doubt UT would make yet another run at Alabama’s Nick Saban. Outside of Saban — and/or his wife — making a surprise move out of Tuscaloosa, anyone from Jimbo Fisher to Art Briles to Kevin Sumlin to David Shaw toJon Gruden (sorry, federal law dictates Chucky’s name be mentioned) will likely be connected to the opening in some shape or fashion."

    I didn't.

    The man IS A CHEATER.

Has everyone forgotten he's one of the primary reasons USC is on probation over the illegal recruitment of Reggie Bush?

He'd be here five minutes and have us on NCAA probation.

    It's a moot argument now.
