Had to have read that somewhere. Powell is in "the pit" all spring as he recovers from foot surgery. Unless that's changed.

And Harris was only observing while at practice last week. He hasn't practiced with the team yet.

In any event, this package could be nasty if it comes together. Very nasty.

The title of the thread would have you think he read/heard it from Roper's mouth but half of that list hasn't even put pads on yet. Harris enrolls in fall, debose is still non contact fresh out the pit, Powell will be in the pit all spring, so knowing this it sounds more like a wishlist formation. Albeit a fast "little" package.

That might just be the biggest collection of players under 6 ft tall playing at the same time.
    Harris- 5'11
    Powell - 5'9-ish
    Joyer- looks about 5'10
Showers I think just hit 6 ft

They could name the package the " mini me" package. :)

Now subtract an inch from each of those and it's probably about accurate.

What a novel concept: Getting the ball to game changers in space and even reintroducing the term "slant" to our passing game. What will wm think up next?

He probably figured we weren't ready for the excitement the first three years of his tenure.

Well seeing how he's not an offensive guru I'm sure he'll continue to let the OC be the smart one when it comes to offense. To think Muschamp has purposely been running a generic offense is funny.

Either that or he's just been a little slow on the uptake. I was just trying to keep it positive.

What about our favorite Hobbit, All Middle Earth RB, Adam Lane? I heard he once got past a dwarf in the open field by running between his legs.

The SIS package is probably an actual quote, but I think the personnel is just a guess. FWIW, Powell and Harris aren't actually that fast, just very shifty. Also, Fullwood is faster than Robinson and Ajagbe is faster than Joyer. Grier is quicker, more explosive than Harris, but I can't see him in that kind of role. Driskel is probably our fastest QB.

Just read that Debose is now in pads. Anyone know if he's likely to get contact this spring?

Harris ran a 4.48 40 yard dash clocked at the opening and Powell ran a 4.47 40 yard dash. That's pretty damn fast. Anything sub 4.5 is fast to me.

    Agree.

And while Grier is a quick athlete, looking at Harris film I highly doubt he is quicker or more explosive than Harris. BTW, as fast as Driskel is, he will probably be the least mobile QB we have among the top three in our depth chart this fall... and that's saying something. Top three on our depth chart will all be legit threats with both their arms and legs.
