it's on Rivals national recruiting message board--- needless to say it's a lively topic The OP's premise is that religion in general has billions of people basically grubbing to God for their own life everlasting and not doing much to do good in the here and now. Much as I tend to do some slamming of some religious leaders and the blind faithful who follow them--- I disagree with that OP's premise I find that most religious people I've met do make sincere efforts to do good for other people---regardless of the other person's nationality, gender, sexual preference, even if other person has a different religion or no religion at all. My take on how religion is perceived by many is that it is like other things---a few bad apples giving a poor reputation to a lot of good apples. Mainly due to the attention the bad apples get. Bad apples, be they religious people, actors/actresses, politicians, athletes, etc do a lot of bad stuff and the media gives them air time---that is MSM, left wing MSM, and right wing MSM.
