He was 95.
A great man has passed, God rest his soul. Amazing he made it thus far, being imprisoned and mistreated so many years. He was willing to be jailed for what he believed in.
Thanks for posting this rjd, agree.
his ability to forgive was amazing
Peace & Freedom were his goals, he sought nothing for himself but everything for his people, he demonstrated that character, determination and persistence can triumph in the world today. A real leader in a time when the term is tossed around much to lightly. His impact on the planet at large has been incredible.
All valid points, like your post.
Great man. The world needs more like him.
"No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite." - Nelson Mandela
RIP indeed, a great man! Thanks for the Noah video, RIP Madiba!!!
When asked about Mandela last week, Dick Cheney commented, "I stand by my assertion that he should not have been released from prison. He was a terrorist." Wish more terrorists were like Nelson Mandela.
I agree!! He was a man of peace, a champion of is people, a man who suffered for what he believed in, one for the ages.
