Brissett just has more presence than most guys do, including JD. Watch him in an interview. Watch him engaging other players on and off the field. He's a natural leader and the other players believe in him. On the field he also has better pocket presence than JD. He knows how to slide away from the rush and keep his eyes down field to make plays and he seemed comfortable doing it. I know he didn't really play any better than JD when given the opportunity - it was pretty much a wash. But if I had to pick one of them that would progress into an effective "pro style" QB quicker, it would be Brissett in my estimation. That doesn't change the fact that Driskel is the better runner and that is probably what we needed last year behind that OL, and it certainly resulted in an excellent record for us. Not likely Brissett would have done any better.
