it's an emotional game...who knows what went back and forth between them, but ya, he won the game, he should have moved on.

There's a reason why there's a cooling off period after the game before reporters have access to the players. Still, some of the quotes immediately after a game are great. Steve Smith telling Aqib Talib, "ICE UP, SON!" was one of the funniest things I heard this season, bruh.

To be honest, I loved it. I am getting sick and tired of these cliche, canned sayings, meaningless, image/brand conscious, endlessly practiced with their public relations coach, trite, contrived interviews that players and coaches give today.

That interview was honest (from Shermans perspective) in all forms.

Per Sherman there was some pre-game banter between the two. I don't mind the trash talking, but it seemed a little out of place. It will be a sound byte for the ages.

Or it will go away because of what it is: nonsensical, ego-maniacal drivel. Sounded like a WWE interview, though Sherman may be a better actor than some of the wrestlers. I am sure he has since spoken with his agent about how to minimize the shame after opening his trap.

I was ok with it. These two teams were trash talking each other all season. Crabbtree had been running his mouth all week. Unfortunately for him, Sherman was able to back it up. Maybe not the best time for an interview but it doesn't mean he doesn't have class. Like mentioned above its an emotional game.

What shame? He backed up everything he said. Crabbtree would be the one with shame. He started the trash talking and didn't back it up. Ego? If you don't think you're the best then good luck in the NFL.

I think it's a matter of sounding civil. He is supposed to be a professional after all.

The way he acted was shameful. They just won the conference championship. Great champions win with class. Taunting a player who just lost the game (chasing Crabtree down the field, then making the choke sign), then going on a diatribe in the post-game interview were shameful acts, imo. He's a great player, but football is also a team game. It's not boxing or wrestling.

As for the ego comment, when was the last time you heard Manning or Brady yell into the camera "I'm the best!"?

I'm sure he would've been after he showered and settled down. They should've known better then to interview Sherman after the game.

Brady and Manning are both part of the trite canned response endlessly practiced with their public relations coach to protect their brand/image.

In today's world of contrived interviews.....what sherman did was refreshing. For all the reasons it was wrong.....it was refreshing

    and honest

For Sherman: Act like you've been there before.
