Cincy was already good when Kelley left. Jones coached them in the sugar bowl against our Gators and we know how that turned out. Kelley built Cincy, Jones just kept it on cruise control. UT will be a real test for him.

I guess time will tell then..I just dont see Tennessee staying down till the end of football..they might never make it back to the top, but certainly they will compete much better than they have for the last few years..maybe not this year but if they can have some coaching continutity they will once again be someone who plays us tough again...just my opinion though

Jones was the head coach at Central Michigan in 2009. Did he take over Cincy in time to coach the Sugar Bowl? That's not what his bio says but I don't know. It's not a big deal. Nobody was going to coach Cincy to a victory.

You are correct. Jones did not take over at Cincy until 2010.

I guess I was mistaken, it was their OC who took over. I didn't bother to double check my "recollection" of the game. Anyways, he took over an already successful program built by Kelley, that's my main point.

I thought Zook's first game was UAB. Grossman hit Taylor Jacobs for a 50 yard pass on the first snap. I was on the 5 yard line, row 1, in my first game in the Swamp that day.

I thought FAMU was 2003 and then UF went down to Miami, got a big lead and Devin Hester took one to the house and we all remember the rest. FAMU's band, whatever year it was, was entertaining. No doubt about that.

Yeah that post about beating FAMU and then losing to Miami & Tennessee was not entirely wrong.

We lost to Miami before we beat FAMU. We beat San Jose St. in the opener. We *did* still lose to Tennessee, that was the game where we had to use all of our QBs because of Ingle Martin's concussion. Same applied to Miami. I believe our last offensive play of that game was a Chris Leak interception.

Have been seeing that the Vols OL is much improved. They will be able to run it on the Gators I think. Will be a competitive game.

Should not sleep on Tennessee. They are hungry..believe it.
