I admit I was drunk when watching but saw live the thug throw a punch at our guy which was inexplicably called offsetting penalties. If he indeed threw a punch and wasn't thrown out it's complete garbage. I hope someone can post video so I can show my douche bag mutt coworkers tomorrow who are going to deny it to no end.

I live and work in this pathetic state and now have yet another year of hearing the bastards bark about how they own us.

It wasn't missed by the officials...officials will generally always try to keep players in the game especially the superstars unless they really have to eject someone. Those officials knew that he technically threw a punch but are not going to toss someone especially a player like Gurley for that..this actually comes from the SEC as they don't want players to get tossed unless it is so egregious you have to.

My voice is still gone from me screaming for Gurley's ejection.

Right in front of the officials damn face.

What a freakin joke the SEC officials are.

Unless of course the ejection is for some kind of phantom targeting penalty.

I dont want to be one of those the refs are out to get us fans, but our guy is thrown out 101 out of 100 times in that situation and it would have been rightfully so but call it both ways. Throw in the handful of 'wait, that's a rule?' penalties only we seem to get called for every year (running into the snapper) and it's hard to think our games are officiated fairly.

They showed it later from another angle and it really wasn't a punch. It was more of an open palm to the facemask. Still inexcusable, but not going to hurt anybody. Most of these players are smart enough to know that punching a helmet or facemask is probably going to do more damage to themself than the person they hit.

While the officials there might have missed it, the SEC likely won't and Gurley may be suspended next game if I understood correctly.

Something I learned from the game.

Multiple dead-ball personal fouls by one team will be offset by a single dead-ball personal foul by the other team. Seems fair to me.

I believe he's already suspended because he got 2 PFs in that game, right? Of course, they are playing the Little Sisters of the Blind Academy next.

I may be missing something, but it doesn't look like a big deal to me. Is the "punch" that people are complaining of what Gurley did the second he got up? I'm all for screwing the Dawgs, but I don't see it this time.

No, that happened in the second half and was a separate incident. This was a balled up fist swinging left hook style.

In the second half, girly slapped/pushed a UF player in the facemask.

I don't like counting on a player gettin tossed helping us win...I think the frustration here is if Fowler did that he'd have been tossed

"looking the other way" doesn't seem to apply to the team in O&B

Yep, that's how I remember it also. Gurley was looking for a fight from the start and pretty much got a pass from the refs. Maybe if he had connected on that first wild swing it would have been different, who knows. Doesnt matter now tho.

I still remember the bogus defensive holding call that kept Georgia's winning td drive alive last year. Maybe the Gators get these calls from time to time, but I only recall one and that was against Arky a couple of years back.
