A classic Buddy Holly song.
One of my favorite singers. One hell of a voice.
Not a rock song, but CSN's rendition is a lot better, IMO. I couldn't find their studio take, but this is about the best one that was posted.
Not a 'rock' song originally, but as one site posted it...."Many people tried to bring reggae to the US, but it wasn’t until Clapton did this song, that the world really paid attention".
Bob Marley wasn't as much a household name until after Clapton did this one. This live version raises his studio version to another level....in particular beginning at 5:00 mark.

I have no idea how to upload videos...but shinedown's remake of simple man
Find the video at youtube....click on "share" tab...then click on "embed"....copy the code, then paste it in your post here. Works like a charm.
The late, great Shawn Lane does the late, great Jimi Hendrix.
It is difficult at best to find anyone to even try to cover what is considered by many to be THE most legendary rock song ever--Stairway to Heaven. One of those tunes best left alone for only Zeppelin to do. You know...if it ain't broke, don't muck with it.
Well, this video isn't really a 'remake' but more of a one time performance done by Ann and Nancy Wilson during the Kennedy Center Honors Led Zeppelin Night. With Zeppelin sitting in the audience, this performance has to be one of the coolest ever. Brought in a friggin choir in the back along with a small orchestra, and did what I think is an excellent rendition. Even the Zeppelin guys themselves seemed to be enjoying it.

Another more of a collaboration since he was in the movie. But since then, it is just as much Elton's as the Who's.
That dubstep remix of Nirvana is hot fire, bro!

amen, folks can cover and do a nice job on Mr Zimmerman's stuff but nobody does it as well
Marley was the master at remaking his songs. One of the only musicians I've heard that sings almost all his songs in 3-4 different ways and they all kick ass.
To appreciate this you gotta listen to what I think is the original:
I believe this is probably a jam session or rehearsal:
Susan Tedeschi ,Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes covering the classic Etta James tune
" I'd rather go blind "
John Mayer covering Buddy Guy tune w Buddy Guy "Feels like rain "
Buddy Guy , Johnny Lang and Ronnie Wood covering the Rolling Stones "Miss You "
Tedeschi Trucks Band covering classic " Darlin be home soon "
Eva Cassidy covering the Chambers Brothers "People get ready "
Dude, that was fairly bad ass! Hadn't heard that one before.
