Here is the list of visitors for 1/17, 1/24 and 1/31 (minus UF commits). The coaching staff seems to still be offering new people daily, so I am sure this is likely to change. It’s worth noting that Quincy Wilson will be visiting on 1/24, and Khari Clark on 1/31. Hopefully they can help with the recruiting effort. Also, I’ve seen J.C. Jackson listed as a visitor for 1/24, so we’ll see. Hopefully he sticks.

ATH Deiondre Porter – Tampa, FL (Jefferson) *USF Commit visits on 1/17
WR Isaiah McKenzie - Fort Lauderdale, FL (American Heritage) Thought to be ND bound, visits on 1/17
QB/ATH Treon Harris - Miami, FL (Booker T. Washington)*FSU commit visiting on 1/17.
RB Derrell Scott - Havelock, NC (Havelock) – Thought to be USCe’s to lose. Visits on 1/17
DE Davon Godchaux - Plaquemine, LA (Plaquemine) *LSU Commit, will visit 1/24
RB Jeff Jones - Minneapolis, MN (Washburn) – Minn Commit, visits on 1/24, but likely to stay in Big 10
OT Andrew Mike - Tucson, AZ (Sabino) will visit on 1/24
WR Charles Nelson – Daytona Beach (Seabreeze) will visit UF 1/26
WR C.J. Worton - Homestead, FL (South Dade ) *FSU commit visiting on 1/31
DE Kevin Bronson - Delray Beach, FL (Village Academy) will visit on 1/31
OT Damian Prince - District Heights, MD (Bishop McNamara) visits on 1/31

Charles Nelson, 5'9 165, 4.35. I know the trend is tall but I would take blazing speed and good hands if that's what has.

I'm wondering what the actual number is. We did have 7 EEs, just lost Lane, and Angus/J.C. are in limbo. Assuming we close with 1 -2 of Prince, Adoree, or Carter, I still think we can add 4-5 more.

Another name that has kind of come out of the blue lately is Chad Thomas, DL UM commit. I have no substantial evidence to this but did hear on the radio from someone who is "fairly" connected in recruiting South Florida that Thomas is not happy with the scheme being run at UM and may switch to Florida. Just offering up what I have heard. If someone can weigh in on its validity, that would be great.

Solomon Patton had that exact height and weight--and it didn't seem to prevent him from making big plays for us.

Bigger WRs are always valuable, but most offenses these days also put a premium on players who can make plays in space. If that's what Nelson brings to the table, he'll be a valuable addition to Roper's offense.

Of that group, I'm most excited about Prince. This class is already loaded at OT, but Damien could get on the field faster than any of the others.

this year we have the potential to close strong, while filling areas of serious need. Muschamp deserves a lot of credit if this goes like we hope it does.

Yeah, and honestly, after the last couple years, I don't know that it's possible to sign too many offensive lineman. You want and need quality there, obviously, but quantity is also crucial at OL in a way I don't think it is for other positions.
