    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...as-missed-more-than-half-obamacare-deadlines/

    from the article:

The administration has failed to meet 44 statutory deadlines required under Obamacare, according to a new report by the Congressional Research Service (CRS).

The report, released on Monday, documents every provision with a specific deadline within the health care law and the administration's actions taken as of April 15, 2014. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has missed more than half of the 83 deadlines mandated since March 2011.

The missed deadlines range from several days to years. The administration was only four days late in issuing a final regulation for HIPAA electronic transactions, while it was two years and seven months past the deadline for a report on domestic violence victims on Indian reservations.

The secretary was one year and one month late in developing a plan to increase HHS's Indian Health Service (IHS) by 500 positions. Due by June 21, 2010, HHS did not begin implementing a plan for a "skilled and culturally competent behavioral health workforce" for the agency until August 2011.

Several reports that were late related to Native American health. A report by Attorney General Eric Holder on "prescription drug abuse in Indian communities," was submitted one month past its Sep. 23, 2011 deadline.

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/theapot...res-legally-imposed-implementation-deadlines/

The CRS, Congress’ non-partisan in-house think tank, compiled 82 deadlines that the Affordable Care Act mandates upon the first three years of its own implementation. Remarkably, it turns out that the White House has missed half of the deadlines legally required by the ACA. And some of those deadlines remain unmet to this day.

Did it give someone a boo boo? I never will consider any of your sources any more credible as I would have given Pravda. Give it up , ACA is here to stay, get tweaked, get better, and save the nation from the high cost of the ER being the fix all for those that until now could not get coverage. And that's a first down.

I guess we have a good number of intelligent experts who believe the government can do no good? I said no government health care, one private company winning the bid that fits what we expect,,as in a bomber,,,etc. etc. .If you do not believe the money grubbing insurance companies will sell their souls to get 300 million clients, lowering costs to stay in the business ???? This is the government as it works at its best.......close your eyes and think before you condemn..

Hey dude. Go to your local emergency room and ask them if Obamcare has slowed down the use of ER as primary care gateway. They will laugh at you.

    actually that is a punt

but then I surmise deep down you really know that-if the goal had ever been to somehow provide health insurance to the 35+ million who did not have it and actually wanted it-then that could have been done without disrupting the health insurance of the other 280+ million- the aca was never about this-it was about the guvment gaining control over a huge portion of our economy-

btw- just because it has been so long since I explained my signature- I am the stadium announcer for the local high school and when they get a first down, I say so and so pass complete(or run) for X amount of yards down to the X yard line-I pause and then say in an excited voice-"and that's a first down"- since I have been doing these games for a long time and a lot of people know me just because of that line- about 12 years ago I decided to use it in my signature on GC-

Insurance companies would not "sell their souls for 300 million clients". Insurance companies are in the business of betting against risk, that they'll get more in premiums from a client than they have to pay out. Obamacare bans the application of actuarial analysis in the actuarial business, meaning that the insurance companies will have however many clients who are not risks to require more in paid claims than premiums taken in, but the absolutely certainty of more in claims in premiums. That client represents a loss, not a gain.

As for the missed deadlines and ceaseless changes... Obamacare ultimately isn't a law, it's a royal decree, and the king can change his own decree on his own authority. Obama governs as a de facto monarch, as much as that sickens me.

You good guys miss the point. What company would not sell their soul if they are the only one who gets the bid. Damn, think of every kind of contract the government gives out on low bid with best parameters of what is wanted. Is this not the way our government works, low bid meeting needs, whether health care , bombers, or good bourbon. Don't want to stir a De Facto response to michi, but the 2000 bloodless coup against the peoples vote by the unsupreme court does more than sicken over 50 % of true Americans. As for the best bourbon Bulleit wins by a Kentucky mile, try it. cheers

Lol... it's ironic that some people here are mocking this sentiment. Like the government does anything for the public cheaply, easily, or in a timely fashion.

Apparently, the saying is true. You can fool some people all of the time. Just look at the above statement to show it happening.

They'll probably just end up changing the deadlines just like they changed a percentage of the rest of this "law." The whole thing is a travesty and most people know it, whether it stays or not.

This is why many people are so disgusted by libs, even if they can agree on some of their ideas. The libs deliberately decry lies as if they were facts.

Every citizen in the state of Florida had a RIGHT to ensure their votes were counted accurately, not just the select few counties that the liberal (Uh, Democrat) party wanted to recount. There were changes in EVERY SINGLE COUNTY upon that recount, yet because the libs only wanted certain counties counted, it becomes a travesty that the Supreme Court actually followed the rule of law, The Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

By the way, DUDE. Just in case you didn't know. Your own worthless "paper of record", The New York (LIBERAL) Times, also counted the votes in every single county in Florida. Do you know what they found? What they found was that Bush won the vote in three out of four scenarios. The last scenario, which he didn't win was by a total of 69 votes and was where it "appeared" there "might" be a dimple "pressed in" for eGore on ballots, but without any discernable element holding the chad on the sheet torn.

Next time, before opening your mouth (um, keyboard) and showing your true lack of knowledge, try to actually do some research and find the truth. Even your "paper or record" will actually provide the truth on occasion.
