fla should beat uk, arkansas and missouri on talent
lsu, uga and usc will be difficult games---winnable, but it will take some luck, turnovers, etc.
fsu---who knows how good they really are right now? they've played all creampuffs. I think fla can upset them in gville

Historically, since 1992, when Florida loses 12+ starters, they average 8-4. I predicted 9-3 prior to the season, but with Jeff and Dominic out, it may have to be adjusted downwards. We should beat kentucky easily enough, but there are many potential toss-ups to play, to include:

    - Arkansas: Bielema has them playing BiG football, with a strong defense, a rushing offense and little passing. Sounds familiar.

    - LSU: Tigers at Red Stick (presumably at night) is a damned tough venue for a full strength Florida team. Tigers are struggleing a bit (by their standards) on defense, but has improved on offense.

    - Mizzou: Mizzou's offense is now healthy. Their defense isn't that great, but we are playing them at their place.

    - Georgia: This weekend's game will tell us much, but there is no question about Georgia's offense. Like last year, their defense may be just good enough to slow us down, while their offense may score 30+ on us.

    - Vandy: I'm not sold on Vandy, but they may improve over time.

    - USCe: Their offense is never really good, and their defense is not playing up to their usual tough standards, but there is plenty of time in the season for Shaw/Thompson to work things out, along with that D. Playing at W-B compounds matters.

    - FSU: The Noles are a huge question mark. They played two very weak teams plus an average team in Pitt, but have produced eye-popping numbers, which would have been impressive against AIR. Need to see them against some stronger competition, and a surprisingly strong Maryland looks to be the first real test.

    - Bowl Game: Always 50/50

On Sunday, we should be 4-1, with 8 or 9 games left to play, depending on the SECCG. Cut the tossups in half and we finish 8-5, which is pretty much in line with our average for a team with such losses. Anything better than that is gravy.

We'll still be in every game barring another turnover fiasco. Take care of the ball and it's nearly impossible to lose to Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, Vandy, and Georgia Southern.

Take care of the ball and outplay the other team in the 4th quarter and we could still win out against the big four. With the style we play, it's very hard to build a lead on us.

The likelihood all of that happens? Virtually none. I think we lose two more, maybe three. It just depends on what Murphy, the offense, and the kicking game bring in late game situations.

This. It's just too early to tell what we got. UK might be bad, but it will give us a better picture of what we're working with. (Murphy)

Losing Easly is huge, but not as big as our starting qb. Not in my opinion anyway.

Of all the players we have lost for the season.....in my humble opinion....the one who can make or break the outcome of a game the most is the QB.

When we lose a player it's "man down man up" and how the "man up" performs is what dictates the delta on the "man down".

Given the above......I will refrain forecasting until I see how Tyler does on Saturday.

If I were to make a forecast right now - I'm thinking positive that we prevail in the rest of our games this season and go to Atlanta (and beyond). But really I want to see more of Tyler.

My seasons goal is to be a Gator at the end. No matter how we win or lose.

I look around at all the conference adjustments in the NCAA and I'm just glad that we are who we are.

Seriously just happy to wear my orange and blue and that's that.

My crystal ball says 8-4 Florida will play Virgina Tech in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta.

This could be one of the better bowl games. Remember last year when Clemson upset LSU in this bowl. It was a great New Year's Eve game to watch.

And an offense probably even worse than Florida's. A 2-2 tie...

I expect this team to continue to play hard and win a bunch of games. We still have a super defense and that should win a lot of games! We will beat F$U at The Swamp and I also think we beat USC in their stadium. The LSU game will be very tough given it is at their place and Murphy will still be learning what its like to play against top level SEC competition. The toss up game is UGA in Jax. They have a great offense and a so so defense. We are the opposite. That game may be decided by special teams....therefore, I expect the special teams to continue to improve enough so we can beat UGA and win the East!

From what I have seen, there is no great team in the SEC East and 6-2 with the right tiebreakers would get us to Atlanta. That remains my goal for the season.

I like how the next three games set up for Tyler. Easy, medium, and difficult. It's a steep learning curve, but it's better than getting thrown to the wolves the first game he starts. I'm cautiously optimistic we only lose one or two more games the rest of the way.
