Nothing screams "old" like lamenting that people don't read/subscribe to newspapers anymore.
I would say it screams of ignorance. most major papers are requiring some sort of subscription even to read online version. Snippets on yahoo or TV sound bites hardly educates one on the issues. It is why we have Obama as President. Too many have a 20 second attention span. Which is about all I can take of that empty suit.
I don't know, if endorsements are anything to go by, newspaper readers still might have put Obama in offfice, twice:
Turkeys will stare up at the sky during a rainstorm until the drown?
Did you hear that on Fox News too? Or was it a chain email sent to you by your grandmother?
You kiddos and your team sports. Go team!
So true!! Awesome!!
What lesbian? We were talking about that dude Maddow?
It's just an old wives tale. But it does give you a mental picture of the look an interviewer gets when asking a youthful lemming a question which requires actual thought.
Old, well informed FOX viewer?
"He's an Arab."
I don't know which is more embarrassing...
If you think you're actually witty & funny...
Or that you're about as ignorant as that little old lady.
(There are no claims I know of Obama being born on the Arabian peninsula or N Africa)
Arab identity is defined independently of religious identity, and pre-dates the rise of Islam, with historically attested Arab Christian kingdoms and Arab Jewish tribes. Today, however, most Arabs are Muslim, with a minority adhering to other faiths, largely Christianity. Arabs are generally Sunni, Shia or Sufi Muslims, but currently, 7.1 percent to 10 percent of Arabs are Arab Christians. This figure does not include Christian ethnic groups such as Assyrians, and Syriacs.
I'm willing to bet that I'm way younger than you, at least as well informed as you, and I neither subscribe to a newspaper nor even have cable TV. You're essentially lamenting that people who grew up with technology don't nevertheless use technologically outdated means of getting the news.
I do, however, subscribe to The Economist and listen to NPR, and admittedly news magazines and the radio are arguably even more technologically ancient forms of getting news.
Good point, what was I thinking with my "at least as well informed as you."
I'm much more informed than all you all.
Well, I am funnier than you, and has been proven, WAY WAY smarter as well. I mean, I feel guilty actually, as it is unfair.
Yes, but in the wrong direction. Leftists have no money nor do they have a real audience, they're too busy gang-banging.
The Fox News audience isn't just very old. It is also very white, very southern and very poor. Not exactly a sponsor's dream which is why you may have noticed that either Fred Thompson's reverse mortgage ad or the ad encouraging viewers to buy gold are basically the only two commercials that run on Fox. They may get high ratings but when the demographics are broken down advertisers couldn't care less because the average Fox viewer is too busy watching television, calling their grandchildren on their rotary phones and clipping $ .10 coupons to actually be sold anything of value.
Don't you wish you could prove that?
Hate to break it to ya, but Fred and Goldline are on ALL the cable networks...
