I can think of quite a few that actually give it though.
at what position? LSU wil probably have a ton of playing time next year
At RB? Not so sure. That's our deepest position.
You think that's the case next year Strange? I count one proven, healthy RB - Taylor. The rest make me very nervous to rely on.
Not to worried if Lane goes to FSU but I don't want to lose Cook. Q.Wilson has already shut down Lane once this year I'm sure he could do it 4 more times over 4 years. My gut tells me we lose both though. Based on Lanes twitter he seems like he's gone. He had one tweet that said something along the lines of people are going to down talk me after signing day but I've got to do what's best for me. I'm over it though some kids are drama queens that want attention.
With Grier coming in he would have to be a fool not to sign with us and besides Jimbo will be in Texas next fall.
When Fournette (sp) steps on the campus at LSU (after he commits), there goes all that playing time you might be thinking about, plus they have a couple of good ones coming back
I also initially interpreted that tweet as meaning the Gator Nation would be disappointed in him after signing day, but after looking through his Twitter a little bit, I think a case could be made that he's referring to all of the people in South Florida being disappointed in him for not choosing UM. Just my two cents.
^Yeah, me too.
I agree. I think he's bound for Hogtown. I think that's where his heart has been all along. I think he really trusts T-Rob and Champ.
i thought about it that way but why is it after signing day they would talk down about him. He's already committed to us so shouldn't it have been people are down talking me about my decision instead of after signing day.
I guess I don't understand why they don't just decommit if they know they are going elsewhere. Why would you do that to the school you committed to? They have to be trolling people to get reactions.
Chomp - they probably like the attention. They could just be not sure where they want to go at a given moment, because it's a big decision and everybody's in their ear telling them chit. And they might just get a kick out of seeing grown men piss all over themselves over where they're going to play ball.
Or all of the above.
And given the rough season we had, and the questions on our OC and direction on offense, these guys have been pretty solid. Let's keep a positive vibe and we'll see them in O&B soon enough.
I like where your head is at brotha
After listening to today's interview at SFHS I'd put it at UM 0% UF 30% FSU 70%...if Cook was completely truthful.
What makes you say he is leaning towards FSU?
What u talking about? Details homie
Hmm so based on that interview if he chooses FSU over Florida that means our coaches were too intrusive and not trustworthy. Great!
What's the deal with this class? A month and a half ago people were talking about the possibility of signing as many as seven 5-star prospects as some of these guys made their decisions. Florida was considered to lead at one point for Lorenzo Carter, Jamal Adams and Adoree Jackson. We would be lucky to land one of them at this point. We also appear to be just another team in the mix for both Lane and Cook, with it looking more and more like we're not even the leader for either one. We've heard nothing about Tabor. If Zach says we have no shot at landing Willis, then that DEFINITELY means we're out of the picture.
We could use some positive momentum. With as much playing time as we have to offer at the skill positions, I'm baffled by the fact that some of these kids don't see the opportunity we have to offer. I actually understood back when prospects were scared off by the (overrated) talent we had seemingly stockpiled under Meyer, but as badly as these kids want to play early nowadays, playing at UF would be a golden opportunity for anybody who can't stand the thought of redshirting.
