Yeah, I changed it after I looked at last year's games. Pitt wasn't quite as good as I thought. Mea culpa...

Isn't the HFA usually +3, does it differ significantly in college?

I don't buy their defensive ranking as being a point of debate here. fsu had a highly-rated defense last year mainly because they played a very soft schedule, and if you look at Pitt's schedule last year, it's mostly more of the same.

Hit the nail squarely on the head with this one SEC. Kudos...

I don't doubt that their defensive statistics were inflated a bit because of their schedule. All I'm saying is it wasn't a HORRIBLE defense they were playing. With that said, they were giving F$U's WR's quite the cushion, and were allowing them underneath stuff all game long.

    1. Amazing accuracy, even on a couple of plays where a lineman was in his face. I heard Jesse Palmer saying Winston may just be a gamer, because Jesse had seen him in practice recently where Winston really struggled with accuracy - and everything else. Or (me talking now), maybe he just had a great night. Even if Winston really is consistently that accurate, it'll be interesting to see how he does against a really tough defense. But, yes, I was very impressed by that showing.

    2. I have said that I was more impressed by Brown's running last year than Jones's. But, it will be great to have him back, and I'm looking to be impressed based on how much Muschamp has praised Jones through the spring and fall. My preference (for all games) would be to see a lot of Brown early and a lot of Jones late when hopefully the opposing defense is getting tired. The other guys look good also.

I'm perplexed that no one mentioned Herndon in previous answers. He had a couple of the most impressive moves I saw in the last game - on 2 plays making tacklers miss badly in the hole at the LOS.

    3. I was going to pass, but the following are my thoughts exactly. The ball can take funny bounces, so who knows?
