Now you've got Putin calling out John Kerry for lying.

    Not good!

"Speaking to his human rights council Wednesday, Putin said, "This was very unpleasant and surprising for me. We talk to them (the Americans), and we assume they are decent people, but he is lying and he knows that he is lying. This is sad."

Putin has criticized Obama administration claims that Bashar Assad's government attacked the rebels with chemical weapons."

    Where is our leadership?

Will we ever see a Ronald Reagan like person again in office?

I can assure you if Reagan was currently in charge Putin and company would not speak out against our country so freely.

Maybe Putin's right. Do you believe our government is telling us what they really want to/expect to accomplish? Kerry seemed incredibly determined to convince our reps and us that we have to attack Syria ASAP.

As bad as I think it is to use WMD I'm not sure it's the same result as if he had just bombed the neighborhood or lined them up and shot them all. What's the difference? Is our national security more at risk if he uses gas or bullets to kill his own people?

It's obvious that nobody but the US is committed to this attack... why?

Putin is right, Kerry insisting that moderate influences are prevalent among the rebels is a lie and a damned lie at that.

Because the U.S. is a warfare state. The MIC is probably hoping that attacking Syria will turn into the same kind of money-making disaster as our previous three wars, all begun under false pretenses. (The Gulf of Tonkin, an invasion of Afghanistan to get Osama Bin Laden, and an invasion of Iraq to get Saddam's WMDs.) Now they're trying to suck us in with talk of a "limited" strike against Syria. Yeah, we'll see what the eventual limits are going to be. How about the city limits of Tehran, and at what obscene cost?

Wow! Did you guys read some of the comments following the video?

    This is just a few...

"Please Putin save us from this demon you have him in your hands, do the world a favor.

We are watching the collapse of a US presidency right before our eyes...

I would love to watch Putin kick Obozo's scrawny, effeminate arse!

Maybe Vladmir might do a two for one special..hehehe

America is rooting for ya, Putin!!!!!

What a disgrace. It used to be that the arrival of the President of the United States of America was a heralded event. This guy slinks in late and probably found a table in the back of the room.

Then his minions cried, "racist" for making him sit back there.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! Need a good laugh, thanks for the visual, enjoyed it!

I never thought I'd live to see the day, that I would have more respect for the leader of Russia then I do for the president of the United States...

It's OK to disrespect them both equally for different reasons.

Putin is the only check and balance on Obama. Our Congress, the Supreme Court, and most especially the Press have all abdicated their responsibilities by letting Obama trash our Constitution, our military, our citizens.

What a rude ill mannered POS.

Holy crap Obama is so confused....this guy gets nothing right does he?

    Obama is Putin's B I T C H ! ! ! ! !

It sure seems that way.....it appears to have gotten very personal. Did you see the way he shook his hand when he first arrived? He really blew Putin off I thought. Didn't spend more than 20 seconds (if that) with him.

Putin is the only leader who still calls a spade: a spade.

dum dee dum dee dum - what a dink. Arrogance, disrespect, or lack of confidence in his position? Either way, showing up late is always classy. Especially for - you know - one of them G20 events."

What do you expect, it's on Breitbart and I don't think that you can really expect that crowd to realize the cognitive dissonance that is inherent in whining about Obama being a socialist while simultaneously fetishizing a former KGB agent.

Why am I not surprised by your attempt to explain away the comments from the article.

    Spin and defend. :)

    don't mess with Putin.

ask Armenia. For four years they negotiated with the EU to join. Everything was a go. Then it wasn't. Armenia is joining up with Russia centric trading bloc instead. That didn't get announced today by coincidence either.

Watch what happens to President of Belarus. Putin doesn't play and doesn't ask for permission. 0 is out of his league.

Belarus is all about potash. Russia lent them money and they promised to sell their nationalized potash industry. Russian oligarchs, who all pay Putin, were in line to buy it. Belarus has refused to privatize it. Belarus arrested Russian executives and accused Russia of flooding market in attempt to drive down price they would have to pay before Russia could effectively control price of the world potash supply.

I don't have any need to "explain away" what people post on the comment threads of news articles. In case you haven't noticed, they don't exactly tend to be home to the most insightful discussions that you will find on the internet.

I think the fetishization of Putin by some on the right is strikingly odd, and I noted that fact.

Your point on what is posted in comment threads is well taken--however the big picture here IMO is that it is indicative of the rest of the world. Not just that article and it's subsequent comments. People across the globe laugh at Obama--absolutely find him without ANY leadership ability, and adept only at causing the USA to lose credibility with other nations.

Whether those comments are on the hyped side or not--they ARE an indicator of just how pathetic the view of Hussein is.

while I do tend to agree with you Ben on internet discussions-it does not take away from the prezBO/Putin clash of minds and who appears to be the more assertive person
