Our defense struggled early today....and turned lock down for the second half...and has been elite for a majority of the past 3 years.

Will has to give full control to an INNOVATOR. His HEALTHY defense with a great offense will win championships.

He needs a Stoops to his Spurrier...a Strong to his Meyer....as it were.

Agreed. Not sold on Muschamp but also not ready to fire him.

I foresee Joker Philips being elevated to OC. Dude did a great job at Kentucky in that role.

Muschamp is 0 for 2 in his hires. In fact his hires have been downright bad.

Couldn't disagree more. Muschamp has proven time and time again that he is in over his head and makes too many mistakes as a HC. He's a great DC, but nothing more.

Will is a very good D coordinator. Not a good HC.

And that lockdown D allowed a 9 minute, down the throat, drive to end the game . . . . and they were very well rested. Lockdown?

Yep, and Florida needs to hire several more assistants that teams like 'bama seem to get away with by calling them something other than coaches.

Weis was coming off of success at KC, it was a good hire that did not work out.
I agree that Pease has lost his chance.*

    *pun intended

Half of the game his defense plays crazy passive and then when we get aggressive we have success. He is overrated with his defense schemes, he just relies on talent

    That's 3 offensive coordinators.

How many do you give him?

Weis' offense is way too complicated for college kids to pick up. Most of them are really dumb and there just isn't enough practice time.

We need an innovative COLLEGE coordinator. Not just some guy who can run pro style with a bunch of 1st round picks.

i think Will will become a really good HC one day when he learns how to. But that may still be several years away and Florida is too premiere of a program to learn at.

Kerwin Bell as OC , is the only choice at this point that can buy Muschamp additional time and unite the Gator Nation .

Give 'em Hell Kerwin Bell !!!!

I'll be in the minority, but I say you keep them both. It isn't the specific playcalling (outside of the wildcat, which is befuddling to me), it's when we are calling them. Muschamp controls whether we are running or passing from everything I've heard, not Pease.

This game proved to me that Muschamp further proved that Muschamp is a genius defensively. We were clearly outmatched, and yet, Georgia could barely move the ball after Muschamp got a chance to adjust. It's his philosophy that's broken. Offense and Defense are mutually exclusive. One doesn't have to be slow and "grind it out" in order to have a good defense. If anything, he needs to learn that moving the chains and keeping the defense off of the field is the best possible defense you can play. I'm confident he will adjust, and I think not giving him the time to (especially when you consider all of the injuries) adjust would just be a bad idea.
