That is quite a declaration and one that will not, in my opinion, stand up to a review of history. I have to leave to go run errands but just remembering my Florida history suggests this has happened here with Spaniard Catholics "converting" the natives and Hugenots (French) by sword and then killing them anyway. Believe it occurred in vicinity of St Augustine. Technically, they did not spread their religion as they slaughtered their newest adherents but convert by blade, yes they did. I think most all religions have done it. Muslim vs Hindu, Hindu vs Muslim, Protestant vs Catholic, etc, etc. I could be wrong on some of this but Islam did not invent the technique.

Surprised no one else has observed the rich, rich irony that richmond supports a woman's "right to chose" regarding abortion; but apparently, doesn't think women have a right to choose what they believe.

He's never even responded to my question regarding the most basic premise of this thread. Took off, poof, and nowhere to be seen.

She probably should have left the Sudan before breaking laws.

Their country, their rules. Is it wrong? I believe so, yes. But she brought a lot of this on herself.

Yes, you keep refusing to answer my question, so here it is for a 3rd time. How exactly did she violate the apostasy law? Additionally, are you not aware of international human rights laws as well?

Only the religion of Islam kills you if you do not renounce another religion. Especially in the middle east. So, please stop impugning all religions with your ridiculously broad brush strokes.

This is a thoroughly pathetic response. Was your answer to apartheid "well, probably shouldn't have been born black in South Africa" too?

It may not be our problem, but we do have a voice in condemning this barbaric "law." For someone so committed to a woman's "right to choose," your inability to support a basic human right is troubling.

Maybe I need top get more specific about my use of the word 'dominate'. I meant that Islamic nations in the middle east will murder Christians for no other reason than being from another religion, like being a Christian. Christians do not do that. And please spare us a trip down memory lane with the incursions of the past like the Crusades. We live in the here and now.

Sure, there have been cases where man has NOT followed the teaching of the Bible. Give me one verse, OT or New where the Bible supports conversion by the sword.

Jesus told His disciples to spread the "Good News" and, if rejected, "dust off your shoes" and move on.

    The Koran teaches:

    1) covert or
    2) pay a tax and live subserviently or
    3) die

Google "Koran Sword verses". They are what radicals use to justify their actions. You will find no such verses in the Bible or any other religion for that matter that I am aware of. Yes, there are "violent" verses in the Bible but have nothing to do with conversion.

This one isn't a liberal vs. conservative issue. I don't see many liberals joining richmond's position that she brought this on herself.

Her faith is a major contributing factor to her execution. That's my only point that a lot of people seem to gloss over. She has a choice here. And she is choosing rather to violate the laws of the country in which she lives.

    religion of Peace= LOL

Sudan is just yet another country ruined by the disease of Islam. It really is a disease, not a religion.
