Schedule for October 19 includes 12 sec teams playing 6 games within their respective divisions. Kentucky and MSU are off that day, so the teams involved are arguably the 12 best.

    Arkansas at Alabama
    Auburn at Texas A&M
    Florida at Missouri
    Georgia at Vanderbilt
    LSU at Ole Miss
    South Carolina at Tennessee

With pivotal games this week involving the Gators/LSU, Missouri/UGLY, USCe/Arky and A&M/Ole Miss, it wouldn't surprise me in the least for CBS to take the 6 day option which they did for last night's game.

    I think the CBS games are between Auburn (4-1, 2-1) @ Texas A&M (4-1, 1-1), LSU (5-1, 2-1) @ Ole Miss (3-2, 1-2), and FLORIDA (4-1, 3-0) @ Missouri (5-0, 1-0).

I would be surprised if they don't use the 6-day option (but I don't know how many they get). Upset potentials change a lot. If Missouri and FLORIDA win, then we are a pretty logical choice for one of the CBS slots (no SEC losses between two teams in first place in their division). If Texas A&M wins, I could see CBS wanting to showcase Johnny Football.

Just guessing, but I'd say we're the 3:30 PM CBS game and A&M is the Noon CBS game.

    Go GATORS!

I'm fully expecting the 6-day business again. This weekend's slate has some upset potential on it.

First time ever I wish we are the noon game. A so called "Gator" has her wedding that Saturday and even though I don't really know her very well my girlfriend does and I have to go. If we play at noon I can get away with not going to the ceremony, watching the game, and just going to the reception.

I will also never consider that person a real Gator ever again. No real Gator will schedule their wedding on Gator game day!!

FWIW I agree about the Gators and Texas A&M being the SEC picks but if that happens I think the time slots might be reversed.

12noon is ET which means if the Aggies get that game time then that means they would have a 11:00 A.M. local kickoff time. Whereas if they get the 3:30 P.M. ET time slot that would be a 2:30 P.M. local time for them. Of course the Aggies being in the Central Time Zone may not be a factor at all for CBS when they make a decision about this. Time will tell.

But CBS will give us a much bigger market share. It would be Nationwide. Whereas an ESPN game coverage at 7:30 P.M. would be shared with at least one if not more games from around the country

Espn at 730p is national, the only difference is cable bs broadcast TV.
The only espn game that splits airtime is usually the 330p game, they do one on ABC and the other on espn2.

Obviously a lot can change this weekend, but looking forward that week assuming there's no upsets (so assuming Jawja beats Mizzou), I'd rank the week's games based upon national interest/possible impact on the BCS as.....

    1) #3 Clemson vs. #6 Florida State
    2) #5 Stanford vs. #11 UCLA
    3) #9 Texas A&M vs Auburn (should be 5-1 and possibly ranked)
    4) USC vs Notre Dame (neither is ranked but it's a historically huge rivalry game)
    5) #2 Oregon vs Washington State (4-2)
    6) #4 Ohio State vs Iowa (4-2)
    7) #17 Florida vs #25 Missouri (but probably unranked at 5-1)
    8) #1 Alabama vs Arkansas (probably 3-4 after a loss to the Ole Ball Coach)
    9) #16 Washington vs Arizona State (probable 4-2 and maybe ranked)

    I couldn't really find a solid #10

If Mizzou somehow beats Jawja then I'd have the UF game at 3rd. I just don't see that happening. As the 7th best game that week, I'm guessing maybe an early evening game on ESPN or ESPN2.

Not sure why that would matter. UF @ Mizzou would have the same starting times since Mizzou is in the Central TimeZone

so the consensus is that CBS will take the 6 day option. I wasn't aware that they were scheduled to do a noon game that day.

Another contributing factor is that there are only 3 SEC matchups the following weekend on 10/26, with only USCe at Missouri looking competitive. Three other teams play overmatched non conference opponents with 5 being off including Florida and UGLY who are already slotted for the CBS game on 11/2.

If the Gators beat LSU, a 5-1 UF team and a 5-1 Mizzou team (they will lose to UGA) should be a nice 7 pm ESPN network matchup. If UF loses to LSU I can see us getting a noon game.

I think Missouri upsets Georgia this weekend, and I am up in the air about Florida, I think they can do it because LSU has no defense. If you have a 5-1 Florida vs a 6-0 Missouri who is ranked, that will be a later game.

It's a CBS SEC doubleheader noon ET/11AM CT, and 3:30 ET/2:30 CT weekend. Based on what might or might not happen this upcoming weekend, CBS probably opts for the 6 day hold again before selecting their 2 games next Sunday.

SEC Network - doubt CBS with LSU and UGA being televised on same. Could be on one of the three ESPN stations, but UF has done that the last two weekends. Besides a 10/19 night game at Mizzou could be a bit on the colder side. Take the SEC Network gladly. I hope at USC is a day game too.

I'm not sure Missouri loses that game... but, I just hope we take LSU out. We need that victory.

Seriously? If true, I am so praying for Missouri and Florida (obviously) this week. How funny would it be to have the best game in the SEC on the 6th best TV slot?

Clearly shows a lack of respect for both the Florida and Missouri programs.

We should both show them by both beating top 10 opponents on the road.

I was definitely not seeing that coming. :(
