This is what I think too. We just have a better, more talented, offense this year with a defense equal in skills to last years defense.

Well, we looked "suspect" on some points as well. Bama's team has just as much opportunity to develop into solid units as any other team. I'd be happy to see them beaten a couple times but will believe it when I see it. Their offense is already able to stretch the field and pass the ball. Va Tech is a pretty good team.

Our offense looked bad yesterday, but that's probably the best thing that could've happened to us. Saban now has film to show the team that nothing will be handed to them this year.

Also, I don't think that we showed a whole lot of our playbook against VT. The offense seemed pretty vanilla. Bad vanilla.

They lost a great center but Saban is the best there is in big games. I expect them to be the favorites in the SECCG. Do not get too excited.

They won't be as dominant as last year or as they were in 2011 or 2009. But until Bama loses in a big game, they'll always get the benefit of the doubt, they've earned it.

The offense looked like crap but remember VT had an LSU or Florida level defense last season and returned a ton- seriously it wasn't inflated like FSU either look at common opponents.

Actually after last night LSU might be the team to beat for Mettenberger to have that good a handle on Cameron's scheme already is a scary sign and there defense only gave up what 17 (7 on a KR, 7 from a fumble inside the 10)

Their offense was totally suspect but great teams find a way to win regardless. They can win with Special Teams and Defense. UF went 11-1 in the regular season with pretty much the same thing last year. Time will tell and the A&M game will be a good barometer, the problem with Nicky's team when they circle the date on the calendar is they tend to be successful, remember the 09' SECCG? I knew the instant they stuffed the TE shovel pass that UF was in trouble. I'm anything but a BAMA fan, but I recognize their ability.

McCarron was running for his life against Va Tech pass rush and blitz last night. Does anyone know about Bama's back-up QB?

Agree with the thought above on LSU. They will be better than a lot of folks think and they beat the Aggies last year.

LSU looked good and the TCU defensive backs are legit. I was also impressed with the Fuller bros from vatech. I think bama beats aggy by 13

I think this is the year Spurrier gets SC over the hump and wins the SEC.

Hate to say it but Saban always gets his team to improve each game. The oline is young and inexperienced but time will gel that unit. Defensively, the same thing. Bama is reloading and the best time to beat them is now cause it won't happen late in the season.
