Is it just me that would love to see Fisher head to Texas?

If they win a National Championship in January, we can roll out all the 'Flagship University' recruiting patter that we like but FSU will have something far stronger to lean on in terms of immediate recruiting propaganda.

If Jimbo stays, that's going to make our lives a lot more difficult for the short term. If he bolts for Texas (let's face it, it makes sense as he's not likely to be a hotter commodity than this once we move to a playoff!) then it leaves a big hole at FSU, that may even help solidify our own recruiting class. He's agreed his extension pretty early... that may come back to bite FSU if Texas decides they want to chuck the $$$ at him.

Selfishly, I'd love to see him go.

I think it's going to be Jimbo.

@schadjoe: Mack Brown says he wanted to do what's best for Texas. Says everyone will be "pumped up" about new coach w "undefeated record."

Possible. That whole conference was filled with passive aggressive swipes at fans, the media, and Texas administrators. Not sure if it means anything or just a jab at the fans.

I am glad to see that someone else thinks Mark D'Antonio is a serious candidate for the job.

malzahn. He said that was his dream job.

mack brown was likely taking a jab at texas brass when he said fans will be fired up about new coach's undefeated record. Any new coach will be undefeated at texas before first game.

They have this huge, massive, over inflated sense of self worth and importance and think they still run college football. They will take a run at Harbough first. You know they are Tejas and Tejas gets what the want. After they get pimp slapped by JH, they will take a run at Urban Meyer, and Mr. Bucknut will be the next coach at UT.

Chip Kelly at Texas would be scary. It would be like Oregon on steroids. Haha.

Chip Kelly has gotten his offense working, why would he go back to college?
