Midway through the season, how do you see the latter half of the season turning out?

New poster here. I voted 8-4, but thought hard about 7-5 with the offensive performance yesterday. It's hard for the defense to win us the game every week, so I think we lose @ USCe and vs FSU. I'm thinking we can win @ Mizzou given their QB situation now, and I like to think we can beat UGA, but we'll see. Hope we can at least win the East though!

We beat Mizz, UGA and FSU. Lose to Carolina. Heard it here first.

Wow! Beating all 3 of them will be a very big challenge. We have a very tough schedule this year.

We might not be great , but I just can't see Coach Chomp taking losing easily.
I still have faith in us - and he's going to work our guys silly in practices now.

Assuming SC does not lose any other SEC games, and using your scenario SC would win the SEC east. SC only loss would be to UGA, yet we would have 2 SEC losses, LSU & SC.

As a Gamecock fan, this is my dream scenario. It's always a joy for me to see FSU and UGA lose, and that would insure a trip to ATL for the Gamecocks.

Losing by eleven points to LSU in their house isn't that bad to me, UF is still a a player in the east. If UGA is without Gurley, UF will smother Murray. Florida has without a doubt the best defense in the East. UGA's defense is suspect. Mizz without Franklin, is last year's Mizz.

If UF/USC was not in Columbia I would feel different. Gamecock defense might make your offense look good.

    I voted 10-2.

And for the whole season 12-2.

I like how you think or maybe dream is a better word than think.

I will add that Mr NoName Quarterback (Connor Shaw) is quietly creeping up on the most wins by a USCe QB, held by Todd Ellis who accomplished it starting four seasons. Shaw did it in two and a half. He laid an egg in the swamp last year. Pretty sure this game is marked on his calendar.

The UF/USCe game will define him.

But I still wouldn't bet on the outcome. UF is a better team than most of you fans are giving credit to right now.

Nobody's defense makes our offense look good.

I heard Connor Shaw is 1 of only 3 QB's in the nation that has not thrown an interception this year. Is that accurate info coming from "Talkin Football."

Gator fans are not very good at win/loss predictions.....for the most part....look at last year.

We are very much in the thick of things in the east. Right were we need to be...We will take care of Mizzou easy...thats the next step

At least 4 losses but 5 is a good possibility --the offense is simply dreadful

8-4. Caught a huge break with Franklin's injury. Pull an upset against one of the the tough three games, probably UGA. Sleep walk through a minor bowl game. Have a top ten recruiting class. And then spend the next seven months calling each other sunshine pumpers or negative whiners as the endless is Muschamp Zook 2.0 debate rages on. I can hardly wait.

You are Right.....Our Number one weakness is Pass Blocking....and even run blocking to an extent this year.

I wish we would let Joyer...be the shotgun back on obvious passing downs.
