Gideon Adjagbe, showed nice receiving and running skills...

Neiron Ball, looked solid and capable of making some plays...

    Cody Riggs, looked very solid

    Roberson on punt returns

    Trey Burton catching the ball...

All 3 of the backs showed something, Mack Brown is tough and solid if not that fast..

Herndon showed some instincts and some acceleration...

Taylor looked good too, good vision...

Driskel was very accurate, anyone who complains about his throwing when he went 17 of 22 with one bad drop is being too hard on the QB, he doesn't block and he doesn't call the plays...

VHIII, he's a natural, great instincts...

Orr can move for a big man. Showers looked great too for only having limited practice on O.

Agree with the OP... I'd had Powell and Easley looked really good as well... especially early.

Ball and Adjagbe were probably the biggest pleasant surprises.

I guess we could comment on everybody. I will say this, though: we know the staff intends to use Valdez Showers. That kid is going to be a lot of fun to watch this season.

-I thought Leon Orr was impressive. He carries his weight extremely well, and he's a very athletic lineman. I was down on him as a starter over the summer, and I'll gladly eat crow if he blows up this season.

-Riggs was very solid. I was impressed with the tackling of our entire secondary.

-Mack Brown looked good in the first half. There were a lot of haters doubting his ability to contribute to this football team. He handled himself well this afternoon.

Neal played good as well on special teams. That kid is huge! VH3 played tight coverage, and it was awesome to see Powell running around again on the D. Kudos to Mack Brown for his running today.

I thought there were lots of positives. Kicking game was a bit off, kickoffs short, Christy's punting was not up to his usual standards.

Driskel was really solid. The offensive issues were mostly due to blocking, WR drops and playcalling. I feel like the drops and playcalling can be fixed. That left OT spot needs to be solidified though.

Vernon Hargreaves. Not sure how much you follow recruiting, but he's a serious prospect at corner.

Burton will have a hell of a year. Probably our biggest weapon on O.
