Yeah, if African nations develop to the point where they start consuming fuel and energy and polluting like more developed nations, it probably would be a good idea to develop new sources of energy.

Well, at least he sounds honest about keeping the Africans down in the gutter without many cars... which is a real head scratcher.

What does he stand to gain from this rhetoric?

Dear Lord. The Pres does enough REAL stuff to criticize. No need to fabricate something.

especially when fabricating results in more people supporting shifting to Dems and away from GOP2

b : to make up for the purpose of deception <accused of fabricating evidence>

The difference between what he said (your quoted text above) and what the right wingers are saying he said is comical. Unfortunately many right wingers will just read the title of the article or some of the comments here and then pass on those lies to their friends - the echo chamber in full effect.

    Side note:
Personally I could not care less about the partisan implications of the continued childish behavior of Pubs. I wish the White House, Senate and Congress were all controlled by the Dems so we could finally let them walk the talk. My gut tells me it would be an epic failure.

Yes, it was "an epic failure." We tried that once before, recently, and got Obama-care/tax... not interested in going full-on commie with the next time the party of the Jacka$$ takes complete control of the legislative and Executive branches of government.

Yes, as it was explained in the movie "Tropic Thunder", you don't want to let one party control the government.

Its better to let competing corrupt, incompentent parties try to one up each other while lying to the american public and demonizing the other. God bless democracy!!!
