This was to be expected. You never want to directly follow a long time successful host. It's much better to follow the first follower in that situation, although the guy is really bad.

I actually never have watched him so I cannot intelligently comment on his talent level but his ratings appear to be slipping.

they really don't come much worse than piers. he came to america because he forced out of england because everyone there couldn't stand him. then once in america he tries to tell us how our country should be run. get this POS out of our country. i don't watch his shows, but i watch the youtube clips. this guy gets destroyed when he tries to talk about taking our guns away. the guy is a complete fool and needs to be shipped out of the country ASAP

He is a one trick pony, always talking about gun control, always talking over his guests.

Regarding gun control, he has the same argument over and over, and he gets slapped down over and over asking the same questions.

When someone has a good point that he cant deflect or defend, he changes the subject. If he can't change the subject easily, he goes to commercial and talks about something else when it comes back from break. If you try to argue with him, he will just yell over you.

He is by far one of the worst hosts on TV I've ever seen.

He had some sort of interview-politicians type show in the UK before he was a "judge" on America's Got Talent. He got that gig through Simon Cowell, and I'm sure Cowell called in some favors for him. It's a small step from American Idol to fake news.

LOL. I meant the part about following a legend. Zook has 1000 times more class than Morgan!

Ya I saw that before and I thought it was great.

Surprisingly he didn't talk over him (too much) and never hid behind a commercial break when getting owned like usual

    That was funny, really funny.

But I have to admit, it is not obvious to me gun violence would be lower where more people are carrying guns for protection. If that were the case we should hear reports daily that a criminal gunmen was shot or his intentions prevented by an armed citizen.

Tell me... How would you hear of "intentions prevented" by others carrying guns?

I mean, if a certain person meant to do a lot of people harm, but later changed his/her mind because the place where that person choose to do their crime had people who were likely carrying firearms themselves, how would you know? Is it a law that any person who was going to murder people, but later choose not to do so, must report that averted act?

My guess is there would be some "shoot outs" and we would hear about it. People still get robbed in Texas.

As for Piers, I'm wondering if he might buy a gun and go postal.
