My theory: They have no tape on how Seattle will use him. He may also make a big special teams play.

How great would it be for Percy to send Elway home? I'd love him to shout out to Tim after the game...LOL.

Percy should just warm up in a Gator jersey... that alone will knock Payton right off his game! He'd never recover.

Percy is certainly the X factor in this game. I'd love to see him take it over.

I remember talking to a buddy of mine just hours prior to the OSU national title game after the 2006 season. We were lamenting that all of the national media were predicting an Ohio State blowout and we were both beginning to buy in to that non-sense. He then commented, "Wait a minute.....aren't we the team with Percy Harvin"?

Seattle is the team with Percy Harvin, and he'll easily be the most dynamic player on the field. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he was the MVP.

It could easily be the "dream season" that Percy unquestionably envisions.........to only have to play in one football game all year long, the Super Bowl, and win the MVP award on the world's biggest stage.

Would it blow your mind if the MVP ended up being Bubba Caldwell, bro?

I love Percy but saying he is the x factor in this game is a reach at best.....he hasn't been relevant in a game for a year.....

This game will come down to Peyton reading and adjusting to the Seattle d.....they don't disguise much which is not good for a game against Peyton.....he's to smart for that.....

Disagree with you here about it being a reach (using my interpretation of what "x-factor" means) as Percy being on the field makes this hard to call game even more up in the air.

I know he played very little this year but when he did (like the two quarters against New Orleans), he was relevant. The fact that he hasn't played a lot means there is little data on his impact to Seattle's offense and special teams.

Nate Silver calls this game a toss up and I don't believe he's factoring Percy in - Nate Silver is usually spot on.

It is debatable that a defense that relies on disguise is less vulnerable against Manning. I agree with you that Manning is smart but that's what makes a tricky defense more vulnerable than one that is just going to play you straight up and punish you - like Seattle. He's more likely than any other qb to figure out what a defense is really doing.

Being in Colorado, I watched Denver all season and my eye says they are the best team. I haven't watched Seattle except for a few - it seemed San Fran was the better team but the stats say Seattle. A little more prep time usually favors defense I think - Denver is at a disadvantage here trying to figure out how Seattle will use Harvin. We'll see.

My Denver fan friends are a skittish bunch and believe me, thinking about the uncertainty that Percy Harvin brings is making them very nervous.

Percy can be dangerous but for how long ? Coming off of concussion already He cant seem to get through a game lately and hasn't really had a chance for the offense to have him as an option. Do you really think he's going to have a lot of touch's... I just think its a reach to say a guy who's contributed for maybe a few qtrs all season is going to be the deciding factor in the Superbowl...its more likely he won't be the x factor than he will...that's all.....I agree he's explosive and has tons of speed and I love him as a gator fan he's one of the greats...he just hasn't had an impact most of the year...I don't see it all coming out in the Superbowl

Who knows? He does seem fragile - I wouldn't be surprised by anything. A lot of Denver fans were worried that Peyton Manning was fragile. I don't know what to think but I guess I expect Percy to get through the game without getting hurt. That is that big a reach, is it?
