damn good point. If one can walk and chew gum at same time or tie one's shoes or talk without a teleprompter....presidential material. We have expanded the potential candidate pool after Barak.

Jimmy Carter is smiling broadly. I think he may have had his teeth whitened.

Run him in 2016 and we'll see how respectable he ends up looking.

Jeb looks damn good compared to Barak or Hillary or Uncle Joe. Maybe you guys can run Jerry Brown from CA. President Moonbeam. Right after President Doofus.

The pubs can't even let GWB show up at their convention. Memories aren't that short yet.

We'd be lucky to get Jerry. We will get Hillary.

LMAO- Just flipped over to CNN (for a mid day laugh). Wolf Blitzer had some guy on who was trying to "sell" the idea that Obama's tough talk had convinced the Russians and Syria on the idea of Russia "guarding" the chemical stockpile. And Wolfe, being the Obama knee pad wearer he is, was not only buying this crap, but was inserting his own 2 cents worth.

So the spin coming out of the white house will be Bad Ass Obama forces Syria to back down. When we all know the reality was, Obama blinked twice and was looking for either Congress or someone to bail him out.

How do you know what we all know? Looks to me like reality is that Obama and Kerry talked real tough and then planted the seed with the Russians to propose a peaceful way to get rid of the Syrian stockpile. Obama bought time by taking the matter to Congress. If things work out, Russia saves face, the chemical weapons are gone, and the USA does not have to even drop a rock on Syria to achieve its objective. That seems to me to be a brilliant move on the part of our administration.

I am still baffled at why he even got the award in the first place.

But looking at some past winners, it is a joke.

    He should have declined it.

You give Obama and Kerry both, way, way, way too much credit. A flippant remark by Kerry in London, which he promptly discounted and walked back, is not "planting a seed". It is being a dumb ass. And since Syria and Russia have a symbiotic relationship mutually profitable for both sides, Putin raised his hand. And as soon as the befoozled Obama grasped at that straw, Putin came back with his conditions....American and its allies must agree not to attack Syria. Translation, leave our boy Bashar in power so the gravy train continues.

This is a strategy? You must be on drugs.

Amazing how the dodo birds on this message board think that they are more astute than the folks who have risen to the highest offices in the land.

Many people in foreign countries have accused Americans of being ignoramuses. Well by George we showed them. We went to the polls in November of 2007 and removed all doubt!
