the occupation is a professional quarterback. the job description requires throwing. if you can't do that, well, then you're screwed.

Tim was able to feast on slower, less reactive college athletes that he could just bully and run over. not much thinking was required of him during his 4 years at UF. the unfortunately he can't get away with doing that anymore.

Sometimes I think he is thinking to much.

I really do think he regressed after his junior year. He made won the Bama and OU game with his arm and passing ability. Since then, it really seems like he has gotten worse.

Spurrier was shelved as an insurance policy for John Brodie. The one year he started, he did well enough to lead the 49ers to a division title like Brodie had the previous two years. Then it was back to the bench. He had no power to demand being traded to another team. His extra versatility as the 49er punter made him too valuable to consider trading. It's too he's remembered mostly for that awful season with the hapless '76 Bucs.

Still think he should give the CFL a shot. Yes, I realize it is more of a passing league than the NFL. But that would give Tim an opportunity to work on that aspect of his game without having to deal with NFL-caliber defenses. If he can grow as a passer up there, then perhaps he can come back to the NFL ala Warren Moon or Doug Flutie?

Problem is those coaches have to win now too. They arent looking for experimental projects any more than NFL coaches.
I truly hate that this day has come....but I fear it may have indeed come.

Did you watch the Bucs this preseason? If so then you know why Jax sells more tickets.

The reason is irrelevant. Fact is the organization isn't hurting when it comes to ticket sales like some people on here seem to believe.

When and if an nfl team goes to a spread offense then TT has a chance. Agree, TT has gotten more chances than most to succeed, plain and simple he is not a pocket passer and I don't care how long he practices it just not there. He will do well whatever he chooses to do next.
