I wouldn't be surprised if New England signed him to the practice squad.

Based on Coach B's comments, he was improving...just not enough to substantiate getting a roster spot as a 3rd QB.

That said, I've never gotten the impression that B thinks Tebow is a lost cause.

    In Christ forever,

His chances would improve if his throwing improved...

Cannot be on the Practice squad. To much playing time in the NFL.

still think with his strength that he could be a good FB somewhere.

Maybe it's time to consider it at least.

Lol, Josh McDaniels giving up on the QB he drafted in the first round.

My point was that I think he's a serviceable QB, the last couple of preseason games notwithstanding. And if he's not getting the same shot as other QBs with similar ability, it's because of the media frenzy that surrounds him.

Sorry if it's a little more subtle than the point you've made.

Me too, he deserves to earn a spot on someone's roster.

His only real shot was a Jacksonville trade with Denver.
Why the Jags didn't do it with all of the money he'd generate . . . well, nobody said they were a well run franchise.

That's disappointing. Three Gator Heisman winners and all three struggled in the NFL. Maybe Tebow goes into coaching like SOS or ministry like DW.

Playing FB is a whole lot more than strength. There are people who are strong and have been playing the position for 5 years or more.

Tim's played as a QB his whole career, he can't turn on a dime and be great at another position.

That's why he will never play again. I said it before the third game and I said it back when Denver traded him. If a horrid franchise like Jacksonville isn't willing to pick him up then he will never get picked up by anybody. It's time for him to move on and forget football.

He was generally awful in the preseason. But how many 3rd string QBs have won a playoff game? A little bit of perspective helps.

But he's capable of being pretty damn good to. He wasn't "awful" in Denver.

Again, he is awful because he is not a drop back qb.

Wish he'd just make the move to TE ... He'd be an incredible weapon at that spot. He's tried QBing in the NFL and just doesn't have the throwing ability. Nothing to hang his head about there .... very few do. He's a monster football player though and can be a great weapon as an H-Back/TE/FB. Why not give it a shot at this point?

I don't understand this viewpoint at all.

Guy's dream was to play QB in the NFL. Not to "play in the NFL at all costs".

If he needed the money, fine. But he earned the right to determine is own career, surely.

Whatever he does, Tim is always going to be a Great Gator and I will always admire him for that.

what has he shown that makes you believe he'd be an incredible weapon at TE? his amazing receiving skills? his rugged blocking? his ability to beat press coverage? his route running? those are skills that you hone from high school through college and into the pros.

he's just not cut out for the pros, the media frenzy has nothing to do with it.
