If drools is right he will let us all know for sure...he likes patting himself on the back...but I will say at first kiffin made no sense to me and now I think that would be a great idea....we need to change the mojo....LK is spurrier without athletic talent....

I'm sorta really liking the idea as well. Just the recruiting boost UF would get it could set us up nicely for years to come. And let's be honest, Kiffin is a tool but all his wrong doing came with him at the wheel. At UF he won't have keys to the car, he'll be a passenger.

Love him or hate him but you have to admit that champ doesn't play those games and won't really allow Kiffin stray to far of course. Hell coach has shown he is big on off field conduct, he's repeatedly suspended or kicked off some of his best players, roberson, purifoy, Robinson this year even with his job on the line.

Can't say the same about meyer, ask Janoris jenkins. What did spikes get for gouging marshaun eayley's eyes on national tv? 2 qtrs. Kiffin as a assistant coach has proven worthy....HC? Not so much

If we have some people in here who would swallow an unethical guy like kiffin, why not just cut to the chase and hire petrino?

I see them as 2 sides of the same coin. He and petrino are a comparison of scumbag to scumbag.

I agree with this. I don't want either of them, but if we'd consider Kiffin, I'd vote Petrino instead.

Muschamp needs to get these two hires right. They are more important than Dalvin Cook. However long it takes, all that matters is that he finds the right fit(s) for Florida.

I like petrino more as well but one is unemployed doing interviews and the other is a current HBC . The unemployed one is the more likely to take a step back as a assistant IMO.

I think he meant Petrino as head coach.

I only think kiffin has one thing over other OC ' S that we may target like Norvell or christianson, and that is the immediate ability to add a huge recruiting buzz/ recruit attraction to a 4-8 squad. Other than that I would prefer a Norvell or maybe someone else like christianson.

I figured as much:) but we were talking about OC ' S so that was what I took at first. But if champ was let go I would consider petrino for HC if not for his keen ability to bolt at the next best thing. But he can coach.

i don't really have a problem if we did hire kiffin(which i doubt we will). but we would be the laughing stock of the country if we did; if we are not already. imagine the things that would be said, muschamp on the hot seat hires kiffin, the coach that has accomplished nothing and been given everything.

i don't really care what the rest of the country thinks at all. some do, but i don't. i was just pointing out what i think would happen. honestly i don't think we will make atlanta next year(hope we do, got a chance but i think its logical to not have much confidence after this year) if we don't make atlanta i can't see champ coming back, nor his staff.

Get Kiffin to town already. He needs to be recruiting.

    What he said.^^^^

Waiting until after the bowl season allows our recruits to be swayed by other schools who will continue to assert that Muschamp will never change. And it only leaves about one month for the new OC to get a handle on recruiting before signing day. I'd love to see a great hire made soon, with the new OC game planning for his school's bowl while being able to call recruits for us. The clock is ticking on contacting in 2013. The dead period starts on December 23 and runs through the end of the year.

The problem is that we simply cannot know that. Liars lie. And jackasses rarely become gentlemen after a lifetime of jackassiness.

I honestly don't know what he does well. He did not impress at Tenn or USC. It would be controversial at best if he were hired.

    I remember this.

He didn't impress you with the number one rated offense at USC? Ummm, ok.

What year was that? From what I can tell it never happened. http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/mainpage.jsp

Lost 5 games his first year, 6 his third.

Offenses were no better at Tenn. That settles it for me, no LK.
