Rules and ethics can be two different things. Way to try and use sarcasm to answer a question. I'll state once again, ethics are abused by probably most every coach no matter how you want to explain "ethics"!

and no I'm not saying we should pay or bribe players.

I was just starting to warm up to the Kiffin idea though I don't really care for him. Something just keeps telling me he could do some good for our offense. Plus isn't he married to the daughter of a gator great?

On a side note... his baggage aside.. can you imagine the massive boom in recruiting? I guarantee you miami and fsu do not want a recruiting trio of champ, T-ROB and Kiffin in pursuit of all the top talent.

Exactly! Some people here are letting emotions judge their judgment.

Exactly. Didn't you know people don't deserve second chances. I mean after all what Kiffin did at Tennessee was so horrible!

I've often said - especially here in the South - that it lies somewhere on the morality scale between Pimping and Pedophilia.

Or you're taking me too literally.

Although. . . . is it really any better than pimping? Sex, money, cars, whatever it takes to get that turd to deke the other hat and put yours on. The whole process at this point sickens me. Which is why I would love nothing more than an NFL minor league.

But another topic for another day.

The only issue I have with the latter comparison then is there's not an innocent victim with recruiting; I'll give you the pimping part. However, I was going to say college is basically getting to the point of the NFL anyways so its not surprising when these things come to surface.

Why not? Coaches follow. Can't really fault him. Like it or not, college football is a business.

Not to hijack, but the only hope of getting CFB to a place remotely similar to what (I'm assuming) you and I remember is a minor league. Too many of these kids don't want to be in college, aren't fit for college and, frankly, don't need to be in college. I wish it was more like baseball where the kids are here because they want to, not because it's the only avenue to the pro payday.

He wouldn't come here as an OC so we're just talking. I don't like the guy, fwiw. But, if you(we) knew he was going to come here act like a gentlemen, work hard and do a fantastic job would we care? Like I said, I don't want him and hope that we never have to look back and wonder if Kiffin would have done better than Coach X. We all just want the right, best hire.

So we should ignore his professional history and assume he is going to make a 180 from his last three jobs? We should bet the 2014 season on it? I think Kiffin is a clown and has proved it consistently since around 2007.
