    I actually think it would be a great hire. It's not that I like Lane or think he would make a good OC, but we all know he's a great recruiter. Bringing in Lane right away for Muschamp's last year would really help recruiting this year. It's a prefect way to make sure the cupboard isn't completely bare on the offensive side for Muschamp's replacement.

    I did find it hard to believe that Lane Kiffin would come to Florida as an Assistant Coach but probably would have been a good hire. I think Muschamp would have kept him under control.

    Not to criticize Muschamp for everything but two weeks? We're in the heart of recruiting season with several recruits at key offensive positions wavering. Better to get someone in the fold now.

    I wonder if this indicates we're not going after former WY coach Christiansen since he's available now?

    Surely, more like we have an agreement with somebody who can't leave their current position for two weeks. If so I would hope Muschamp is trying to secure an OL coach that the new OC has approved of.

    Pat Dooley is a good writer, but he is not always accurate. It is possible two weeks is speculative, or that Muschamp gave him a bogey of two weeks.

    Muschamp needs to be more up-tempo with his OC selection.

    That would make sense then. I wasn't sure when their bowl would be.

    I was really hoping for the guy from Wyoming, because I don't think Helton runs a hurry up often
