That's good news. We don't want that scumbag associated with our university.

I actually think it would be a great hire. It's not that I like Lane or think he would make a good OC, but we all know he's a great recruiter. Bringing in Lane right away for Muschamp's last year would really help recruiting this year. It's a prefect way to make sure the cupboard isn't completely bare on the offensive side for Muschamp's replacement.

I'd like more posts with some of these key words in them. Minus, "no" of course.

I did find it hard to believe that Lane Kiffin would come to Florida as an Assistant Coach but probably would have been a good hire. I think Muschamp would have kept him under control.

That timeframe makes me think our new OC doesn't have a job at any school right now

Not to criticize Muschamp for everything but two weeks? We're in the heart of recruiting season with several recruits at key offensive positions wavering. Better to get someone in the fold now.

I wonder if this indicates we're not going after former WY coach Christiansen since he's available now?

Huh, I had the opposite thought. Why two weeks if he doesn't have a job?

Actually makes me think Helton may still be a candidate.

Surely, more like we have an agreement with somebody who can't leave their current position for two weeks. If so I would hope Muschamp is trying to secure an OL coach that the new OC has approved of.

Makes me think Helton will be announced after he is relieved as interim HC

Pat Dooley is a good writer, but he is not always accurate. It is possible two weeks is speculative, or that Muschamp gave him a bogey of two weeks.

Muschamp needs to be more up-tempo with his OC selection.

Shouldn't Helton still be coaching for the bowl in two weeks?

That's because Baylor still has a big game this weekend.

Would that be an indicator that Mike Summers would be the OL coach?

That would make sense then. I wasn't sure when their bowl would be.

I was really hoping for the guy from Wyoming, because I don't think Helton runs a hurry up often
