@MentoringUSA: 85% of all youths in prison come from fatherless homes. 20 times the national average. #mentorsmatter #MentorsUSA

The odds have been stacked against this kid in many ways but in others he has been given plenty.I hope he becomes eligible so that he can take advantage of his skills to get an education before he is handed millions of dollars

    I agree.

But if he gets here his education will be mostly BD and not UF.

And that isn't bad if he is truly one-and-done.

No question about it - if Walker qualifies, it makes it tougher for UK. I'm hoping he qualifies also, and not just for the selfish reasons of making UK more "battle tested." I cant' stand the one and done rule, but if we're going to quasi-force these kids into college for a year where they only have to take a minimal number of classes (if they choose) and are only on campus for 9 months or so - then I'm not sure how keen I am on the idea of excluding some of them because they aren't exactly college material.

I like this board. I post on a few different ones, but this is probably my favorite. I already know what UK fans think and am turned off by some of the attitudes you see on the bigger UK boards. I don't go to message boards in a search for inside info or anything either. This board is a great size and has some great posters on it. I've also got family who are Florida fans - so they've always been a team I've half-way followed anyway.
